Honestly, this isn't a big problem for me so I don't think about it that much. The only time it becomes a hazard is when I get caught in seriously heavy rain.
This time though there's an obscene salting happening in Mississauga. I can feel the salt in my mouth even when I'm just walking.
I do...
So... I rode to work today and was caught behind an accident on the 401 and was sitting in the traffic for 30 minutes or so. Thankfully, there was no wind today and someone in a car handed me a warm coffee 😁
Fun fact-- apparently, the headlights on Cyber Truck are useless when it snows. The snow seems to stack on the bumper and block the lights completely. The light strip that you see is basically a daylight running light.
For real. I had to politely ask my Uber/Lyft drivers "you don't need high beams in the city, do you?" and a few actually responded with how do you know high beams are on.
One of the worst aspects was when I flipped up my visor to clear the fogging and I could feel the road salt vapours in my throat--yuck! I almost puked when I felt it the first time.
It's no longer fun commuting to work now and the next two weeks forecast has a few double digit negative days.

Rode out on Bloor Street today morning to apply for a passport renewal. Every driver and pedestrian was looking at me like I’m hit in the head.. 🥹
The heated grips are really helping. But unable to ride continuously more than 30/35 minutes. Next 10 days seem to be warmer.
It's all done. I have my bike parked in my new place now.
Costed about 1.5k and a good amount of sanity. All the clutch plates and v-belt have been replaced and along with the oil & coolant change.
I feel complete again 😌
