Video games and an unrewarding life

You have constructed a world view that necessitates despair to achieve happiness. I disagree wholeheartedly with this. While the natural ups and downs of life sometimes help us to be grateful, I do not think the despair is a necessary component to it

Video games and an unrewarding life

I think you are creating a false dichotomy by saying your options are "suck it up and keep going, or die trying." You seem open to asking yourself bigger questions, so keep going. What is "success" to you? Your comments about success, to me, seem to be all about finances. Do mental health and...

Video games and an unrewarding life

Reading your posts here, your outlook on life sounds absolutely brutal To echo GreyGhost's sentiments, learn to live in and enjoy the moment. Nothing is guaranteed, you have banked all of your happiness on a future that might not materialize. I doubt it will ever materialize if you refer to...

YRP flies drone into a landing Cessna

As someone who spends a lot of time in the drone world, this is just bat **** crazy. Flying near a god damn airport without any approvals from NAV Canada and the controller, my god. I've spent weeks of my life writing up applications for special flight permissions to fly over a giant field in...

    should I mix?

I got Pfizer first, then a Moderna second dose a couple of weeks ago. I haven't turned into a crocodile or anything yet. I do have some peace of mind in knowing that I probably won't die from COVID (fingers crossed) I think people shopping around for vaccines and worrying this much about it...

Just to put things in perspective (Opinion)

Like GreyGhost said, most of the time is in learning how to run the printer and CAD software, etc. Luckily that's another hobby of mine so it was no sweat off my back. But for someone with no experience in CNC-related stuff, it would be a decent-sized undertaking I imagine Material cost for me...

Just to put things in perspective (Opinion)

This made me laugh out loud, thanks for that! Agree 100%, anyone who thinks of working on old bikes as anything but an expense is a dreamer! I think some people new to the scene overestimate what elbow grease can do, and underestimate how much tires, gaskets, o-rings, grommets, bearings...

what r u paying for weed these days ?

Thanks! I started germinating the seed on March 12th, so a little over a month I'm growing it in a 5 gallon bucket, so it won't be a big plant at all. I'll have to transition to flower in a week or so ?

what r u paying for weed these days ?

I started my first ever grow a month ago, just one plant indoors. It's the first time I'm growing anything, really, so I got my fingers crossed ?

Getting a Honda z50a street legal

Ahhhh right. I forgot that aspect. I was assuming in '69 they didn't specify. For example, my CT-90 is not classified as a limited speed motorcycle (as I'm sure it should be by todays standards). I was assuming the same would apply here

    1964 Honda S90

Yes, it has officially grown on me! I like the exhaust higher up than stock too  Very cool!! I would love to see the pics of the CB100 if you want to share. When I get into these projects, I do try to be mindful of the history. This one was in pretty bad shape when I came across it...

Getting a Honda z50a street legal

I got my '69 CT-90 blue plated no problem, Rosey Toes did the safety and Dalton Timmis got me a policy. Also, I was able to get my '64 S90 registered in my name with no ownership or history of registration in Ontario, going the affidavit route. So it's all possible :)

    Drones

We built it to do flight testing, as a way of testing out some rotor improvements we are working on at our lab (the aerodynamics lab @ Ryerson) We needed a big *** drone, because its easier to deal with larger rotors for what we are trying. And anything ready to fly in this size is going to be...

    Drones

Cool thread! Some friends and I built this recently, its a Tarot X4 frame kit with 18" rotors. It's got a Pixhawk on it with Ardupilot. It's beefy, weighs about 5 kilos when its ready to fly We do our flying up at TEMAC in Stouffville. They are a great, welcoming club for electric R/C...

    Self adjusting motorcycles

On the fly adjustability like this comes at the expense of complexity, cost, weight, and increased risk of failures. I will be interested to see if it is worth it in the end

    1964 Honda S90

It's been a long time, but I finally got the engine mount adapter cradle done thanks to some help Here is how it sits on the engine (test fitting before putting it in the frame) And the engine is now mounted. I will have to remove it again soon, to get paint on to the cradle adapter to keep...

Spongy brakes after swapping the line

Yes, I have been putting the end of the bleed hose under some brake fluid in the bottle I'm draining in, so I don't pull air up PP - I have certainly been wondering if I have been doing something wrong!! I started bleeding with the directions from some online tutorial (crack the bleed screw...

Spongy brakes after swapping the line

Everyone - thanks a lot for your input, its been really helpful It did not even occur to me that the bleed screw would be a universal part. It does appear to be M7x1. The CT didn't have one even close to the overall length of mine (not sure if it matters much). I'll look at a more specialized...

Spongy brakes after swapping the line

Hey, I am at my wits end here I changed the front brake line on my GS500. I drained the system, pulled the old line, put the new one on, and filled it up while getting the air out of the lines. I got to the point where I wasn't seeing any air bubbles come out of the bleed line, the lever felt...
