Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Okay, seems all the the problems this device has comes from the little 3.5mm jack mounted on the board with 4 joints soldered. I soldered 4 wires to the board, then soldered the other ends to the 3.5mm jack. The MIC now works, but my gf said it's super fuzzy (probably needs to be soldered...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Thanks V. Yes, I cut mine along the top with an exacto. I actually tried to pry mine open, but it's impossible. From what I can see, it's set up like this: 3 pieces [1] Antenna rubber holder [2] body rubber with buttons [3] bottom seal with cutouts for head phone & USB I think the board +...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

I think its hit/miss with these things man. I bought it knowing quality control wasn't exactly priority for these guys. It's made by Netphone inc. in China. Nope, I even tried the mic/headset from the second set (which works on the second set), and still no joy. There is no way to fully reset...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

SO, After 2 weeks of use, one my units is partially dead. Not sure what happened. 2 days ago I was riding to the gym, and I got a call which was automatically answered by the intercom. It worked just fine. Rode back home and jamming to some tunes - no issues. Yesterday, I was riding to the...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Hey i actually noticed this happening in light rain last night. I didn't think anything of it. My music would cut out every 5-10 minutes or so. I figured it was just a bluetooth thing. now I know. I agree. It seems like the only place water can get in is from the headphone or usb plug input...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

This is killing me. I can't figure out how I did it. I spend 30 minutes trying different things last night...nothing worked. As for the speakers..I don't think replacement speakers will help much. I think the UNIT itself outputs low quality sound. I have a feeling replacement speakers won't...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Question How do I voice dialing on my iPhone4? I've used it on 3 one-two hour rides on a single charge, and so far no problems. I hit light rain tonight, and still seems to work fine. I might tape the edges anyway, just to be sure. Anyway, I hit some random button while riding (was trying to...

    50,000km maint.

Based on my visual inspection, they seem to be okay still. I'll have whichever shop I take my bike in for valve clearance check double check for me. I bought SS-8 oil from Honda and put everything back together. I haven't taken it for a ride yet, but just moving it back and forth in my...

    50,000km maint.

Hey guys, Thanks for all the tips. RockerGuy: No...valve adjustment has not been done. That's one thing I have no idea how to do and will need to take it a shop to get done. I wanted to take it to Ted, but I just don't trust him with "important" things. He's a great guy with great service...

    50,000km maint.

I'm going to try to go a fork oil replacement this weekend. I'm wondering if it's at all possible to remove the old oil, and put in fresh oil WITHOUT removing the forks from the bike. Also, if I'm just changing the oil, am I correct to assume I only need to remove the TOP adjuster part, and...

Going to try riding to work.... Temperance Parking? DVP a bad idea?

It wasn't so bad, but maybe because it's Friday. I left my house at 7:15am (woke up late) and parked the bike at 7:50am. I'm 40 minutes early for work :(

Going to try riding to work.... Temperance Parking? DVP a bad idea?

Thanks for the tip. I'll get heading downtown from Markham. I've taken Yonge st. all the way before, and while it does get quite busy, I was able to 'share' the parking lane. Mind this, this was at 6pm...so traffic wasn't nearly as bad as I imagine it would be 7:30am.

Going to try riding to work.... Temperance Parking? DVP a bad idea?

I'm going to try to ride to work for the first time tomorrow. The goal is to save the $12 I pay for the GO Train on a daily basis. I work downtown in the financial district. Questions: - I intend to leave my house at about 7am, and basically go from 404s/DVP ->Gardiner->Spadina->Front st. to...

    50,000km maint.

My bike is getting close to reaching 50,000 kms. I'm wondering what major things need to be done at this point. Things I have done: - new wheel bearings (all front and back) end of last season - new air filter (last week) - spark plugs (15k ago) - front brakes (15k ago) - rear brakes (8k...

    Shark rider to rider intercom

That's good news. I'm not too concerned about the music feature. I can can just plug one of my ears with an earphone connected to my iPod. Fyrebugs review is promising.

Has anyone used this product? I just ordered it, but wanted to know if anyone had any experiences with it. It says original price is $400, but was on sale at amazon for $90. I'm hoping it works okay. If anyone has tried it, I would appreciate if you could share your experience Thanks

5-7 day road trip ideas / tips / routes

Gas might be an issue. My bike only gets about 300km to a tank if I keep the RPMS low. Most of the weight (luggage) will also be strapped to my bike, since my father's bike is overweight and underpowered as-is. We definitely will need easy access to gas stations. On a side note: what should I...
