    Daily sports car?

Test went beautifully. Tows nicer than a truck :D 105kmh in 7th gear right around 2300rpm. 16L/100 consumption from a quick test loop. Brakes are more than adequate, handling side to side is good. Comfortable and quiet. Rear suspension squat is only 0.6 inches.

    Daily sports car?

Got the hitch (and new tires) installed today. I have to say, I am very impressed at the hitch latching system, build quality and overall fitment. Wiring was also fairly straight forward. Tomorrow, I'll take it out for a road test and see how it does! The tow hitch essentially gets sandwiched...

    Daily sports car?

Those are really nice; I ended up getting this one. Just under $1200 shipped so very far from cheap but I want something nice and robust. I like that its tested to European standards which includes dynamic load testing

    Daily sports car?

I just ordered the trailer hitch tonight; they actually make a class II for it which is rated at 3500lbs. Sweet. The Mazda pulled the trailer beautifully all last year. BMW should be even better, larger motor, wider stance, better aero and heavier. I was a bit worried about the transmission...

    Daily sports car?

You bet; took some practice but I'm getting there. Already ripped out the turn signal stock too as part of my initiation ;) It will be replacing a 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 which is currently up for sale. Was a fantastic car and I will likely regret selling it but I'm not at a point where I can afford...

    Daily sports car?

Just picked up one of these today; 2016 435i. Went with the ZF 8 speed, wow does it fly! Loads of fun. Best part by far is the comfort/sport setting. Comfort makes the suspension way softer, steering softer, exhaust quiet, shift points and shift speed much more relaxed. Sport is full on sports...

2021 MotoGP Discussion (No Links - Contains Spoilers!)

Incredible Q1 and Q2, tomorrow is going to be sweet. Happy to see the Yamaha's up top but unfortunate they seem to be slacking in sector 4. Jack Miller looked really pumped tail end of Q2 but didn't make any significant improvements. My bets for tmw is Pecco/Jack/Fabio

    Introduction to offroad riding

We have a fairly active dirt group on Facebook; KW Soil Riding. We try to get out as much as we can. Whenever there's a ride going on, we just post it as an event on our fb page (that way invites get generated to members).

Just 17 years old been obssessed with motorcycles

I don't know if motorcycling will even continue being a "thing" years from now. The younger generation is rarely interested in it and the ones that are face prohibitive insurance rates. I remember when I started at 17 years old, my Ninja 250R was around $35/month with State Farm... I saw a...

    Stocks

What's happening right now is pretty monumental; Questrade/Robinhood blocking GBM/AMC/BB to drive prices down. Class actions against them incoming for sure. But they're getting paid off enough by the big boys that they don't care. The very definition of market manipulation. I should be mad...

Wallstreetbets went private, discord server got taken down. Big yikes! Speculations on SEC intervention? Panic sell of GME tomorrow as the circlejerk comes to an end? Exciting times

Curious if anyone considering shorting GME? I mean, if we're all so sure it's a BS bubble that'll burst, then why not short it? Also curious what you guys are using for US stocks? I've been using just Wealthsimple trade/TSX (since 0 fees for anything)

    riding with high beams on

Something to consider; riding with high beams on at night is not only a dick move but dangerous. On bikes where one headlight is low beam and the other the high beam, riding with both on can make you look like a car that's far away. That's why many bike manufactures avoided spacing out low beams...

    dealerships vs private sellers

Personally, I would always buy in a private sale. My first 2 questions are "How many previous owners" and "How long have you had the bike". Getting an idea of the previous owners and rough idea of the bikes history are quite valuable to me. As for financing, I have a tough time with that. Paying...

    Stocks

Good strategy, that's what I have done as well, sitting at overall return of 50% since I started doing this back in March. I also have about $1000 that I "day trade" with. With wealthsimple trade, they have no transaction fees for any TSX buy/sell.

    Best Quickshifter

It's for the R6, that bike is just the race bike. I wouldn't consider the Woolich system for street use; the benefits it offers aren't relevant on a road-going bike.
