No problem senior. Yea, I know... It's been a combination of poor weather and finding time to get out for a street ride; figured this weekend looked pretty good to post up the opener for the fb group. And of course, next weekend its raining  Time to hit the dirt again I suppose!

Great ride today! Huge turnout as expected for the season opener. Route tracking app was fantastic, we kept the group together the entire time :) Headed up towards Hockley then did the "Circuit" through Terra Nova. Good scenic cruise and a great lunch at Superburger! Had a few sprinkles along...

Where do all the stock mufflers go ?

I traded mine for a peperoni pizza. No idea what he wanted the stock muffler for but I thought it was a fair trade

Desjardins denies claim due to modifications

Disgusting, imagine them denying coverage because you were on summer tires (for whatever reason). If YOU caused an accident, I could see the logic in denying a claim, however you getting rear ended; how are tires relevant?! If anything, if you have crappier tires you have a longer stopping...

Desjardins denies claim due to modifications

I was just about to post this. What a load of crap. So the guy is paying $600/month since the insurance company deems him high risk. (with a sub 200hp car... give me a break) When something happens, which is what insurance is supposed to be there for, they deny the claim. Because he had an...

Check out some of these route I mapped out a while ago. I've been meaning to get out for a street ride for some time but it's been a little chaotic for the past few weeks. I've only gotten out on street once this year so far but hoping to get out more once this damn rain stops...

    Ontario doubling down on 172.

Eh, I don't see this changing much. To those that don't speed, no major change. To those that do, they likely have a flip plate and aren't stopping anyways. The riders who go 40+kmh over the limit and don't have a flipper/plan are the ones who this will largely effect. I have 0 issue with them...

Is it blue book or declared amount

Interesting, that is good to know though. While I was at SO, I overheard a similar discussion to someone registering a commercial vehicle where the guy was surprised he was charged tax on declared value not wholesale value. I (think) the SO lady said that it is something unique to that vehicle...

Is it blue book or declared amount

They take the higher of the two. It would be stupid to put a BOS value higher than the wholesale value.

Is it blue book or declared amount

They will take the highest value out of: i) UVIP wholesale price or ii) Bill of sale declared value. This applies with cars and bikes. However, there is also another option which will override i) and ii). You can get an appraisal done which is what will be used for determining tax due. An...

Try giving the Co-Operators a call, I found them to be quite competitive especially when bundling home/auto. I got a very competitive rate with them on an '18 MT09 (Sub $1000/year). Also have a clean driving record and full G for 5+ years as well as M. Another company I have heard good things...

2021 MotoGP Discussion (No Links - Contains Spoilers!)

Fun race to watch, MM endurance was great to see but I thought he made some "silly" moves early on that were unnecessary. It looked to me that his strategy was to get up front ASAP and then try to break away. Regardless, his performance during FP and Q was fantastic and there's no doubt he's...

    Daily sports car?

Didn't take it like that at all, it's good you mention it since not everyone would necessarily take it into consideration! You mean like this? ?

    Daily sports car?

Actually it's a little lower; I got it weighed on a commercial scale not too long ago. With everything I take to the track, I'm just a tiny bit over 2200lbs. (The trailer is 6x12 all aluminum). I experimented a bit with tongue weight but right around 180lbs (8%) is very stable around 100-105kmh...

Exactly; which (to my knowledge) are not published for sedans/coupes. So, I go with the rating the Germans came up with. The guys who built the car are the most reputable source for information regarding its capabilities.

    Daily sports car?

F150(2021) Curb Weight: 5014lbs F150(2021) Gross Weight: 7150lbs By your logic, the F150 can tow 2136lbs. I don't think that is the case.

    Daily sports car?

North America: "Do not tow. Buy a F150" I only half joke. I remember when I was looking for towing info for my Mazda, the same car mechanically had different manuals for Europe vs N. America. Other changes aside, under towing, the EU spec gave loading instructions/specs while N/A said "Do not tow"

    Daily sports car?

3700lbs. And you are right, lots of hills relative to here where it's all flat. The nice thing about the hitch I got was that it's Euro standards certified which includes dynamic load testing (Ie. simulates bumps/shocks on the ball)

    Daily sports car?

Yup, fully loaded. Bike, generator, canopy, gas can, tool chest filled with all tools I'll be carrying. Even threw my suit/helmet/warmers in there for good measure. Funny enough I was cross shopping my purchase decision with a truck (Tacoma is the only truck I would purchase) For the same price...
