Considering picking up some new boots and am between the Supertech R or the TCX-RT Race. Anyone have experience with either of these? Or other suggestions?
Thanks to all for the super helpful responses; it really helped put things into perspective! The reverse crank sounds really neat, I've also heard about a seamless transmissions making it's way into the R1 which would be pretty damn cool
So we hosted a little ride yesterday as well; I was secretly hoping no one would show so I could go home but crazies still came out. Had some fun out in the (partial) rain! Weather looks pretty poor over the next few days...
So I noticed the R1 is only 20lbs more than the R6; a fairly small difference that can be compensated for with some weight saving mods.
Now, my question is, why does the R6 feel so much more light/flickable than the R1? The wheelbase difference doesn't seem to be that big either, but perhaps a...

See you all out there...

That's actually a very good point and something that warrants further discussion. The M1 has lost its (idealized) purpose. It no longer is setup to allow new riders time to practice for their M1 exit but rather an unnecessary block of time which seemingly has no purpose.
In my opinion the...
Yea, I hope it was thought out and he got it in the winter as well. OP can use his/her judgment on it; if you're on a traffic-calmed crescent for instance, practice all you want going round and round. Maybe check in with some of your neighbors to make sure you're not being a nuisance.
X3 on the rider training. The MSF has your M1 exit test built in.
As far as getting practice before, as long as you live in a quiet neighborhood and your bike is pretty quiet, just ride around your street. I do think you will get more out of the MSF course if you already have mastered the...
A buddy of mine mentioned it looks similar to a previous kickstarter "scam" where they collected money and ran. It's too early to make any judgment on it at this point but the website does seem to offer very little information to warrant spending anywhere close to that money.
So it seems they are wanting to open Spring of 2020 up near Kawartha lakes. I think they were marked as area 49 before and now changed names to Raven Race Resort. They seem to target the upscale and focus on a more luxurious experience; what are your thoughts on them?
