Super common in Toronto for some reason. People will even block the oncoming traffic lane to line up for a left rather than block their own live lane for some reason. I actually emailed the police for advice on how to deal with this and mentioned that even their officers do it. They didn't...
Thought the Lucas had fixed it but after a ride back to Toronto from Guelph I tried it out in my driveway and with the clutch in as soon as I lifted my feet bike started pulling forward. Too bad as before that it actually seemed to have resolved it (other than the initial impressions from just...
Wasn't very helpful to me. All I got was look up the actual safety rating on helmets (already knew that) and anything other than leather is crap. Also pointed out that most CE certifications are useless which I already knew.
Perhaps I should rephrase the question to "Are there any mesh jackets...
"Motoport’s GP-1 and GP-2 stretch Suits are the only synthetic apparel approved for road racing. Stretch Material is Made with Dupont[emoji769] Kevlar[emoji2400] Fiber /Dynatec/Lycra blend that is five times stronger than the best competition grade leather."...
Saw a guy on a silver either CBR600 or 1000 on Eglinton West and then south on Weston. No gear except a green helmet.
Your belts are visible in your rear tire from down the road...
Had a nice little convo on the 401 when stopped with a guy on a cool FZ6.
Interesting. They claim to have some of the only textile gear approved for track use and claim it's actually more abrasion resistant than leather unless their materials have changed.
I've seen quite a few of these, actually.
Scorpion had some touring stuff in their EXO line about 8 years ago I was looking at. Seen a few others as well but that's the only one I remember.
Any idea if any companies use this stuff? Curious to check it out even if it's expensive.
Only one I know of that claims to compete with leather is Motoport.
I agree although personally I think dual rotors are over rated. My RS125 has a single and has better braking than the two bikes I've had with dual rotors. Not that either of those are high performance (650R and CBX).
Ordered online somewhere usually.
Reasons for that could be better pricing, local people didn't have the tire they wanted, wanted to buy a tire without scheduling with a local guy, found a deal on Kijiji or eBay...
You could ask this about any part for anything. Any number of reasons.
I am aware gear options are a personal choice but that wasn't the question...
The answer I came up with was no, there is none that will hold up other than maybe the Motoport stuff.
But that's why I asked. :)
Other than the Motoport stuff is there any mesh gear that would actually hold up to a slide at highway speed on pavement?
I saw some ads for the Knox Urbane Pro and reviews seem to give it some good praise because it's got a new CE certification. The information I found indicates that the spec...
Bust out the sidecar.
I wish. Although I was behind one today and that thing doesn't look like it handles well. Bike was leaned over to the left and the sidecar looked pretty bouncy. No wonder the guy was riding so slow.
