The city released their plan to deal with the lakeshore speed ripples. Seven speed limit signs, three electronic signs telling drivers to slow down and closing one lane every night. Back pats all around. Situation resolved. No mention of actually fixing the road.
I'm having trouble posting a...
To be fair, CP is doomed on pricing when they have a union workforce are are competing with piecework contractors. They can't offer the service at a competitive rate. Their best bet is to lean on the monopoly and force all parcel delivery companies to pay living wage. Jt may go for that. Pp...
At times I have pulled just one end of the vehicle in the garage. Lets you work out of the wind/rain, on a flat surface and have room to move. When one end is done, spin the vehicle around and do the other end. I'm not lifting high enough that a 7' door impeded me.
Meh. They are almost disposable. Mine is almost 20 years old at this point and spent more than a few of those years outside and uncovered. It's not pretty but still structurally sound.
I'm a little sad the truck didn't hammer him. People like that don't learn. It is only a matter of time before they kill someone (unless they die first).

After receiving information about an individual in crisis, who was in an RV with a firearm, Barrie Police responded to the parking lot at 409 Bayfield Street on Tuesday, November 19th. Police made contact with the male inside the vehicle just before...
It doesn't increase speed of any individual vehicle. It does allow more vehicles/day along that section of road. Whether that is a a worthwhile outcome (or even desirable at all) is an important discussion. 401 at Dufferin is 400,000 vehicles per day average (with about 7.5% trucks). Bloor at...
Not at all surprised. It's a circle of stupidity. Design roads for high travel speeds and continue to reduce the number on the signs for political reasons and then act surprised when people "speed" even though they are travelling the design speed of the road. Idiots.
Even where sensible laws exist, the police have absolutely zero appetite for enforcement. It's not worth the effort to draft the laws if they are never enforced.
Small e-vehicles are great solutions to many of the traffic/transit issues. Unfortunately they are a cesspool with terrible...
Not sure whether this is good or bad. A guy was living in a motorhome in Barrie was parked behind a grocery store. He moves it around often to avoid getting in trouble. Yesterday morning there was a report he had a gun (and maybe a gunshot? Unconfirmed) and police obviously responded. Evacuated...
On that note, I should check my mailbox sometime. It's normally weeks between times I open it. Make sure it's empty so there's room for a pile of junk when it eventually ends.
Who saw this coming? Cybertruck insurance is hard to get and expensive. Some insurers leaning on "armored vehicle" to avoid quoting. Others coming it at 5K/yr with 5K deductible when a lightning is <2k...
Poorly worded but I suspect they are based on rank/percentage not absolute number. In absolute number normally trucks are in the lead. Most of the vehicles in that list are relatively low volume which makes it easy to get a high percentage stolen.
People that are far more tuned in than me say-25 or -50.
