That was about what Honda has in the pipeline, not Tesla.
Honda's aim to reduce weight and to keep the extra height to a minimum is commendable. Let's see what they come up with. I bought my Bolt because it was basically the smallest and lightest EV that had good range.
Yeah there's a certain range of model years in which this is a concern, until they redesigned it. IIRC a lot of the earlier Boxster/Cayman are affected.
Random update.
Race bike is done.
The beast had the timing chain tensioner recall done at Two Wheel, and I did the oil change. Needs tires, brake pads inspected, brake fluid changed.
ZX10R is getting the oil change tomorrow.
FZR rear suspension is all apart, cleaned up, re-greased all bearings...
Most modern automatic transmissions have eliminated bands, and now perform the internal brake functions with multi-plate clutches, in the interest of eliminating that need for periodic adjustment.
Reminds me ... I should take out the "dealer service only" plug on the transmission in my van, and...
Kinda. In Europe, in the street-bike lineup, yes. Here in North America, we don't have to contend with the Euro 5+ emission standards (our motorcycle emission standards haven't been updated for decades) so they can carry on selling the continuations of the R1 (and R6) here, if they want to...
What a colossal joke. Has the shape (and funny doors) of a sports car, but you can't drive it. Family can't get in it. Someone with limited mobility can't get in or out. Doesn't look like it has much suspension travel.
There already is an ideal taxi ... a London cab. The new ones are already...
Hydrogen isn't practical to store as a liquid for end-user applications. (You would have a choice between continuously-operating cryogenic refrigeration apparatus - $$$ and constant energy use - or accept slow evaporation along with having a place for the evaporated hydrogen to go that won't...
Minor digging finds something from a couple of years ago that each cartridge is 400mm long and 180mm diameter, and the target weight was 5 kg; whether they've achieved that or not ... unknown. I can't find how much volume (i.e. weight) of hydrogen is contained in each one, but I did find "When...
Only if it came along with a "thou shalt" to municipalities ... mark ALL centrelines as dashed (passing permitted) if there is only one lane of traffic in either direction and it is not within 150 metres of an actual intersection (not private driveway) or curve or crest of a hill sufficient to...
Just a heads-up ...
Caledon has done an arbitrary blanket speed limit reduction to 60 km/h on (almost) all rural roads that aren't provincial highways or Peel Region roads. These used to be posted at 80 km/h until a few years ago when they dropped to 70, now 60. Most of these are straight...
Multiple bikes, multiple projects.
Race bike: Oil change (done), general clean-up and inspection and lubrication (done), download and save the current PowerCommander map as a back-up due to laptop issues (done), empty the fuel tank (done), re-secure the left handgrip which keeps sliding off the...
It's pretty cheap for Yamaha to make multiple variations and certify them for sale when, to the emissions regulators, they're all the same under the skin and the decorations outside don't matter. There's no reason Yamaha couldn't sell this in parallel with the XSR900GP.
Tesla's system lulls the driver into thinking it's doing all the work, and doesn't do enough to verify that the driver is paying attention. Humans aren't good at things requiring full attention 1% of the time randomly. They'll be doing something else to occupy their mind, or sleeping.
