Prepped my bike for winter rides back in the '70s when at 16 yrs old I had to go to my gas bar job every day after school for $1.75/hr. I used my Yamaha 250 Enduro all the 12 mos of the year and it never let me down. Learned to watch for icy road conditions in that time. No fancy electronics...

Can anyone recommend a decent rattle can paint that has a good amount of gloss and is oil/gas resistant?

I watched him ride probably the most unstable bike in history being the '72 Kawasaki H@ aka. the Widowmaker.
He took it easy on those California sea-side neighbourhoods... (y)
Some have some wicked engines for instance a buddy had a Yamaha sled with a factory R1 engine. He described the speed it put out and it sounded scary so I wonder if the insurance companies have found another source to screw owners over.
This is one of the best topic threads I have seen here.
Does anyone recall the name of the Suzuki dealership that was situated on the west side of Mavis Rd, about 1 km south of Burnhamthorpe Rd in Mississauga ?

I can't understand why more folks don't stabilize the fuel or better, just reach under and drain each carb before storage.
It was Gunther Cycle. Only Yamaha's in their inventory.
In 1972 I had a DT250 Enduro and the parts guy was a total prick when it came to buying parts for it
I was still sad to see if close however.
I took a chance on a '79 CB750 that was residing on the 2nd level of a barn in Milton, the 1st level being where the cattle stayed at night.
The bike was a low miler but the cows gave off an unbelieve stench along with heavy air laden moisture that every metal surface on the bike had a patina...

-'ran the last time before I put it away a few years ago'
-'can't start it for you cuz it's in storage'
-'sorry that's all the pictures I have of it'
-'my buddy can...
