Where do you live?
I have a nice route from Oakville that meanders around the Burlington and Waterdown area if you wanted - it’s about 3 hours long and you can stop all along it if you see things you find interesting.
That’s the route I do if I don’t have time for a ride up north.
You want to spend more quality time with her and am buying a bike that she will be comfortable on. But first you need to do a fly and ride to see if it's a good match for you.
All the VStroms are pretty good Mile
Muncher’s. I rode out to BC on my 650 and regularly moved at 140 and no issues. The 650’s will drink a bit more gas at that speed but the engines will take it for 200k no problem.
Rare indeed!
One of these days I need to do a ride towards Niagara region and stitch together as many twisty bits between Burlington there and see how fun it is.
Went for a short ride to check out how the new rear shock feels.
Been a while since I rode the Ancaster, Dundas and Waterdown backroads - they were quite nice!

Today with all the rain and not riding for the weekend, I finally installed the Wilbers shock I bought last year. I generally like the way the...
Myself and @danp did this last year. It was a blast and tons of fun. I think it was 214km between stations.
Post #16 in this ride report has the #389 in it. 2023 Ride Report - North Shore of St. Lawrence
Any questions - just ask.
That’s a different bike - the FZ6R.
I don’t know much about them other than the FZ6 is supposed to be more powerful. Some people complain it’s too high revving for any real power.
I also like that undertail exhaust. Lots of people who have had the FZ6 were quite happy with them. Seems like a...
Yeah you could use it as a basecamp for 2-3 nights for sure to explore a 200km radius from that spot. You can also include the parkway in part of a route heading south, so at least you can get a feel for what section is like between Roanoke and Boone.
I'm not sure what kind of bike you ride or...
