Time for a new ride... (ideas welcome!)

If you did go for an FZ1, you could probably negotiate this one down a bit. Seems to be in very nice shape with a lower fairing and Yoshi. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/420875794118097/

Time for a new ride... (ideas welcome!)

While I'm certainly biased toward the carb'd FZ1, this Triumph might be fun and you might think it looks nicer than the FZ1: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/533421359598010/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A7437ed5a-3b4e-41c8-a7b7-843b003e5c1f

    2024 Day Trips

For sure that's a big one. The helmet comms can play a super big role in keeping everyone safe. I've also used it on longer rides with my wife and she will tell me to look at the bear on the left or the eagle on the right, which is great if I'm too focused on the road to notice things like that.

    2024 Day Trips

I use a Cardo Packtalk Bold and almost never connect with other riders. I just use it for music and the very rare phone call. But I should use it more for group rides I'm leading, because it would really help when missing a spot and wanting to do a u-turn, or warning riders behind of some...

    2024 Weekly BurgeRR Meetup - Wednesdays @7PM

I’d be down for some Roti and doubles on a Wednesday night. So many good places to choose from.

    Winter Motorcycle Plans?

Having ridden with you both - I can sense the bromance forming.

    Winter Motorcycle Plans?

That more than 9 days. Once you get there there’s some much nice coast to ride and interior roads to explore. For sure you can iron butt there and back, but think about setting aside some time to meander along the coast.

    2024 Day Trips

To chop a route there’s a function enabled by the gold membership that allows you to split a route and you can choose where you want the split point to be. Then you have 2 routes with the split point as the end of the first day and the start of the second day. I can also draw or drag the route...

    2024 Day Trips

If you plan on doing longer rides with lot's of waypoints then I think it's a fair price. Especially for multiday trips. I have all my past trips saved as well, so for something like my upcoming Deals Gap trip, I don't have to create them all from scratch, I can just clone my old routes and...

    2024 Day Trips

I took out Harburn Rd cuz I think it might still be gravel and added in Kushog Lake Rd since that was recently repaved and is in very nice shape. I think everything else is the same.

    2024 Day Trips

The only thing I'll add is that the lifetime membership I have is a one-time purchase that includes all the upgrades that happen moving forward. I think I paid $99 for it and for the type of riding and route planning I do, it was worth it from the first multiday trip I planned out. But it might...

    2024 Day Trips

I just created a GPX based off what you had - that looks like a fun route!

    Winter Motorcycle Plans?

When going to that area, if you haven’t been up to Burkes Garden, the road going up and down is amazingly technical. Same goes for Robinson Tract Road a bit further away. Those are two of my all time fav’s and will ride them every time I’m in the area now.

    Stuff I've been up to.

You would probably really like the Manic Cinq tour then - this feels like a very similar scale and vibe. Thanks for that info - I'd like to go check this out.

    Stuff I've been up to.

Glad you to have you back and great to hear about your two bike trips. Both sound dope. I really like that pic you posted of the giant staircase or whatever it was called. That alone is worth the ride out that way! And the Virginia's are amazing and Elkins is a great base camp location. If you...

    Winter Motorcycle Plans?

Too early. Wintern maintenance is only known in December.

Where do you guys go for new tires?

No I think it was the Cycle World West location that closed around 20 years ago.
