The idea is to help the cheek pads hold your head better so when the impact happens the eps foam will be as close to your head as possible. The cheek pads are soft in just about any helmet, they aren't meant to cushion the hit.
Got a Scorpion exo 1400 that has the air cheek pad from FC-Moto for about $250. I like it a lot as it really eliminate almost all the looseness without putting too much pressure on your head.
The only thing is that you have to remember to deflate it before pulling the helmet off otherwise you...
Good for you to uphold our safety standard.
For sure this isn't the safest way to go from point A to point B. And no seat belt, think about what would happen if it is rear ended. And what's up with the waving...
Oh wait... That sounded awfully familiar. That was exactly what my friend said...
These sites usually also sell your identity (name, address, credit info) so think twice before you order anything from them. You maybe have to deal with years of identity thefts.
Duty really has nothing to do with weight, and cost is only comparable for goods within the same category. For example, you typically pay more duty on a pair of $100 riding gloves than on a $1k video card.
I guess different people have different risk tolerance. My brother in law that lives in Asia has a brand new MB S500. Last time i visited him he took me on a ride when he dropped it off at a "shop" for a set of aftermarket shocks. I said "shop" because the shop is the size of a sled and all the...
I don't think blood type meant to be "medical information". It is more for things like allergic to certain medication. I am allergic to various common drugs and the test will take several days. I dont think in an emergency they will be able to confirm my condition nor they can test for...
Ordered a helmet from them about two months ago. Like others said it was delivered via Canada Post. Was charged both duty and tax, but it was still much cheaper than buying either locally or online within Canada.
Btw customer service was excellent. Had an issue with the item and they resolved...
When was the last time you bought a screen protector? I haven't seen one that isn't made with glass probably for 10 years. Long time ago yes they were made with plastic. Those could get scratches, and those could be bend without breaking. The ones you see nowadays won't scratch and won't bend.
The integrated visor on the EXO-1400 can be taken off in case your EXO-R1 deal fall thru. Anyway I expect the EXO-R1 should be one notch above the EXO-1400 so hope it works out for you.
Not sure if you ordered already. Anyway I was a long time Shark fan. Owned several top-of-the-line Shark helmets including the last one a RSR2.
Anyway decided to shop for a new helmet this year and really cant justify spending another $1k on another Shark. Ended up getting a Scorpion exo-1400...
It isn't about the seller doesnt want to put in extra effort. As a seller on kijiji you should NEVER ship anything. There is no seller protection at all unlike other paid service (ebay, etc). So whatever payment you received (cheque/cc/paypal/etransfer) can get cancelled long after you shipped...
So exactly what was the problem? Did you attempt to exchange it and they refused?
You literally just said you ordered a helmet from them and it didnt fit and therefore it was their fault and you aren't going to order from them anymore.
And you are absolutely correct, but I think you are missing my point.
The point is, when it comes to wrench on a car/bike, I dont think I ever encountered a situation where it is critical to have the "correct" torque for such low torque application. The torque spec in these cases are more "max...
Using a torque wrench on such low torque is just asking for trouble. Unless you are putting together a race engine anything lower than 25 ft lbs is probably better to just hand tight it. The risk of overtighten with a torque wrench on such low torque is far greater than the screw coming loose.
Unless you are desperate for cash otherwise I dont see any problem not allowing test ride.
When selling your bike/car/whatever keep in mind that you only need to find one and only one buyer. Unlike a car salesman you do not have to make every potential sale "work".
