    Your winter maint. plans..?

I "think" it might also be the fact they have oodles of torque so they dont need the bigger sprockets like your average four banger sport bike.

    Your winter maint. plans..?

EDIT, oh you mean the rear.......yeah, I'll eventually get around to that, I want to do the 05-06 swing arm on it one day, I have the swing arm, just need to powder coat it and make some exhaust adjustments, not this year. When I do I'll give the shock some love.

    Your winter maint. plans..?

Thank you. The gearing in combination with an STM slave made a big difference.

    Your winter maint. plans..?

Oh and I did the belts, pretty damn simple on this bike. Fluids and a thorough cleaning as well

    Your winter maint. plans..?

More of a project than maintenance. I got this ducati performance sprocket for my bike, part number showed it fits 999 all years, and it was up two teeth which is perfect because riding around town on this machine isnt exactly easy in traffic. Was just hoping to bring the revs up and improve...

Jack Miller's 2018 MOTOGP helmet for sale

I would assume anyone who has that kind of money for the helmet would never wear it, Id put it in a display case in my living room as Im sure the new owner will. The point of the sale is not the "worth" of the helmet, its for charity. Its "worth" whatever it sells for to whoever buys it.

    Working with derlin

The problem is the bolt. Its doing two things, holding the slider AND its also usually one of the motor mount bolts thru the frame so you need clearance for the head of the bolt hence the big counter bore down the center. As long as it snaps off and the head of the bolt is under the fairing...

    Working with derlin

Theoretically if made of nylon or uhmw, they will withstand a good slide................on tarmac, and protect things like a tank.......thats about it. Delrin will snap as I mentioned, leaving the bolt holding the slider in, to get mangled and destroy your frame. If you happen to slide into the...

    Working with derlin

Like I said, Delrin is brittle. ;)

    Working with derlin

If youre in Burlington, maybe try this, there's a shop called robust gear and industries in oakville near the QEW and third line. Nice guys, an owner named Anjin and a manager named Zack. Go there on a saturday (laid back day, not business as usual, they aren't a custom shop, but they have the...

    Working with derlin

I would NOT say delrin is tough, its wear resistant but......... .....Delrin is also brittle, Ive got a LOAD of experience machining it. It cuts nice, but will chip off in certain circumstances. I could never understand WHY anyone would want to use delrin as a slider, Im gonna tell you, the...

    Stripping Powder Coat

Sand blast then powder, powder gets inside everywhere, even tubes. And flash rusting is not the same as corrosion, it basically wipes off. I was just trying to demonstrate how clean the metal comes out after being stripped, even the oils buried in the surface are removed, and the company that...

    Stripping Powder Coat

    Stripping Powder Coat

When I was working with mike at Brightside we used to do our own chemical stripping with a big barrel of highly volatile stuff called methylene chloride (b17). Im talking Breaking Bad kind of stuff. You could take a part and leave it in a small bucket of the stuff and it would literally strip in...

    Power Commander/Bazzaz vs FTECU

FTECU was able to do quickshifter on both bikes I had it on (gsxr600 and R6) but its horrible. Could never get it to work right on either bike and the FTECU support team can suck my balls. They are useless. Also, FTECU is web based, so you always need an internet connection. Try doing that at...

    1964 Honda S90

Tricky, or anyone else interested..........I know a guy in the GTA with a Vapor Blaster. If you want to keep all those aluminum corroded bits nice and not coat or paint them (ie your hubs or an engine case or air cooled cylinders, forks, handle control perches ect.....) you can vapor blast them...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I didnt mean anything by my quote dude, just saw the IG page and felt compelled to comment about how I felt she was attractive, being the primitive male I am ;) I also noticed she's just a baby, recently turned 24 by the looks of it. At that age, I know I was following stupid fads/people to try...
