That makes sense. I am not gonna let a lack of abs stop me I don’t think, but I’m gonna look around for another week before buying a bike. The ones with abs are more expensive cars multiple owners, no safety etc so I don’t really know what kind of problems I’m buying
The only reason I’m probably gonna get the bike is because any with abs are farther away, not saftied, multiple owners and are more expensive. I don’t really know what I’m getting into with those. A lot of bikes do not have abs so I don’t think it will be a deal breaker. Gonna wait another week...
I think both of you are correct. My instructor is kinda of old fashioned and likes to teach how to ride if I were to hop on an 80s bike for example. She was trying to teach us how to feel and how we shouldn’t rely on technology. I think I am going to buy the bike, yes abs is safer, but this bike...
This is what I think my instructor meant. To learn based on feel. She said an abs bike is better but I should learn how to brake first. I’m probably going to get the non abs bike because I will only be riding for a year or two before I upgrade to an abs bike
Lmao 😂. I swear I’ve ridden dirt bikes with my friends for the past four years and I was the only one who didn’t do anything dumb lol. Don’t get me wrong if I find an open country road I might do a pull, or do curves etc. But I’m not gonna be racing etc. The 300 is honestly for me to get to uni...
Yeah I understand. To be honest I recognize that abs is good to have but I think I’m going to buy this bike anyways. It’s a starter bike and I don’t want to spend too much, not to mention I’m mainly riding slower city roads. I’m no adrenaline junky gonna be riding crazy lol. Plus i feel safe...
I think I’m going to buy it. It’s non abs but I rarely will ride in the rain, mostly city riding to school and back. I used a cb 125 in the course which I doubt had abs and was able to emergency brake and control the bike. Went with learning curves in St. Catharines btw. Everything about this...
It
Its not that I don’t want abs. I do want it, the problem is the bike I’m looking at in good condition for a good price doesn’t have it. The ones that do are far away, more miles and do not have a safety so it’s a gamble to buy because who knows what they’ll need
I understand that it’s a safety feature. My point was just if I should buy a bike without it bc everything else is perfect. Also my m2 instructor said it would be better to learn
I’m going to look around but I think I might end up buying the bike. I don’t imagine riding it for too long anyways because it’s only a 300. Once insurance gets cheap I’d probably upgrade. Thanks
Thanks. That’s what I was thinking, like it’s not needed but good to have. Like AWD. I’m going to look around but I think I might end up buying the bike. I’ll see what’s available first
This is what I think I'm going to do, shop around for a few more days but most of the bikes I see with ABS are more expensive, private sale and sold without safety. I will probably buy the bike without abs if I can't find any good deals in the next couple of days (then a good deal will pop up...
Well from what I read it would be a bit different, as in a seatbelt is for things you cant control but abs a lot of the time will be fine not to have if you know how to brake properly and dont panic. So basically you wouldn't buy a bike without ABS?
Hi, I just got my M2 this past weekend and I'm looking into getting a bike. I'm 21 and for insurance purposes the bikes will be limited to 2015-2018 Kawasaki ninja 300, Yamaha R3 or a Honda cb 300F. I like the looks of the R3 a bit better bc its black, but the only R3's are two hours from me and...
