Does insurance for new riders decrease a lot after the first year?

Reference: I’m 22 with a year of riding experience, no tickets, 2015 honda cb300f with desjardins I was quoted the first year $1,900 and the agent said that the second year it will go down a lot, almost cutting it in half. I got a renewal and it is quoted at $1,700, which is not much lower. I...

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Excellent. I added a windscreen and doing 3-400 km ...5-6 hours 3 days a week. I hesitated on a top case but bit the bullet and love it.

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Thanks. And I have experience dirt biking not riding on the road. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna look at a bike with abs now. I’m going to look at the cb 300f this Friday however I like the sporty look for the ninja 300 better. I have a question I’m not sure if anyone knows, when I register a car in...

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Messaged the first ad but most are a lot more. Messaged about the black one a week ago actually but he never responded. I don’t really care for the fluorescent wheels of the second one. Also a lot are being sold without safety and I’m trying to find one with just because I don’t know many...

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

I was looking at the R3s too but if I want abs I’m gonna have to buy new or newer and it’s my first bike which I may drop etc plus depreciation so I’m tryna spend under 4K. Willing to spend around 4-4.4K ish but no older R3s which are in that price have abs for me. Think I might end up going...

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Nice. I might end up buying a cb then. Only issue is that I heard they have a crankshaft problem but as long as the recall was done it should be good. Thanks for the info!

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

I do also like the looks of the ninja a bit better however I also like the cb 300f. Can I ask how you find the power? I’m 5’10 160 lbs. if you have a passenger how is it? I hear the single piston isn’t that tourquey and the first gear is really short which makes small maneuvers hard

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Thanks. That’s what I’m thinking too. I just hear that I need it or else it would be a lot more dangerous on forums. It’s either “you don’t need it” or “you’re gonna crash without it” lol

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

It’s actually technically not for sale yet. They got it as a trade in and I kinda know the owner so he told me about it. Everything is perfect about it but the abs. Either gonna get this one or the Honda cb 300 prob bc that one has abs

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

I haven’t really. I’m still looking. I thought there would be a one sided answer about abs but it’s either “you don’t need it you’ll be fine” or “you’ll need it or you’re gonna crash” lmao

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

They could mandate it for new bikes made maybe but old ones would still be able to be sold. Like classic cars with no air bags etc. So you think a cb 300f would be good? Might go for that one then. I heard it has a weird first gear so it’s hard to maneuver

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

From what I understand not having abs isn’t dangerous. But it makes it safer to have abs. If you know how to control your bike it should be fine. But it’s always good to have extra safety measures. I might go see a Honda cb 300F with abs before I decide to buy this ninja without abs. But I hear...

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Most people have said it’s not a deal breaker as long as I like the bike which I do. I’m definitely dedicated to practicing and the first week I ride I probably won’t even be on the road. It’s also a starter bike for me which I will most likely upgrade in a year or two. I’m also mainly riding...
