It's a little nutty out there for sure. I sold my place in Hamilton in October and bought a place a near Midland shortly after. I got somewhere between 125,000-150,000 more then I would of the year before. Supply and demand....there is extremely limited inventory in single family homes...
Not to be a Debbie Downer but don’t bother. Not nearly enough power, not legal on trails and I haven’t ridden one but my understanding is they don’t work well on hard pack. More of a back country off trail machine.
Just because someone will sell you a kit to put on a smaller engine bike doesn’t...
Don't stress it. You will get the feel for things like that and figure out what you can and can't get away with....it's a little weird switching from bikes to sleds. You ride a sled more like a quad. Like @GreyGhost mentions you will need to sort out how to weight the sled differently depending...
In my opinion going off the trail like that you've lost control but if you can get it shut down before you hit anything you have regained control, no harm no foul but getting close to being not a great situation. Don't get me wrong I've done it enough times myself lol.
I’m glad your enjoying it. With that said if your group has had 2 crashes in a total of 3 outings you really need to tighten up your program. Someone is going to get seriously hurt.
We ride hard and do some dumb crap but you have to keep from crashing. Good luck out there. Hope the season is...
Why was this bike pulled from the initial Kawi new model launch? I thought they had something cool up their sleeve, this just seems like a disappointment now.
Interesting question. Don’t have the answers by any means but a couple thoughts.
Since you would be having it shipped commercially it will likely have to be cleared by a customs broker ahead of time. I can’t see it being allowed to cross otherwise.
Will the U.S guys accept a NVIS instead of a...
A buddy of mine that I race mx with uses one of those tear drop trailers for camping at the track and loves it. On his the back half pops up so you have a full size door and are able to stand to get dressed etc. I think if I was going with something small I would at least want that....too many...
I want to play off trail as much as the next person. Actually I can spend a whole day in a frozen swamp playing around. But nothing irritates me more then people that ride off trail on private property.
I don't doubt it at all. Snowmobiling doesn't bring out the sharpest folks that's for sure.
I didn't buy a trail pass this year expecting closures etc but I'm not sure closing the trails in North Bay/Parry Sound is the right answer. I know the idea is to stop the spread and keep people from...
The overwhelming majority of these big boy cars are leased. Doesn’t make sense to pay tax and interest on the full purchase price at that price point. Pay for what your going to use and then change it up. Either through the manufacturer or through private leasing companies.
Banks will finance...
Don’t know. What I will say is I’m seriously considering one of these bikes (why I knew about that thread) and it doesn’t put me off at all. I would probably just run it but doubt that’s the right answer.
It seems like the clutch plates are getting stuck together. There is a link in that thread...
I’m not really the collector type but...
In my view there is only two models I would buy to collect, or I should say just look to at. A 916 or Desmosedici would look cool parked in the house.
As a investment I’ll take a index fund forget the bikes or cars.
Now I did sell my 2009 Monster 1100 2...
A lot. If this sticks it will help them pack a base, freeze up standing water, pack creeks etc. Riding around in this snow you would just be hitting rocks, roots and grabbing a ton of dirt every time you hit the gas.
I don’t think we are that close to seeing open trails in southern Ontario...
Dealers can be open during the lockdown, just has to be appointment only. I know some places have closed up for a little here and there but they should be checking voicemail/email and able to get you your bike back.
Sold my house in Hamilton and just bought a house near Midland. Once I get through the reno on that one I'm going to be looking for another property. Maybe a long term rental or considering the area have floated the idea of a cottage for airbnb.
Most owners I've talked to only want bookings...
