    Powder coating

I’ve had stuff coated by coulourfast in Concord (ColourFast Corp. – Changing the World, One Colour at a Time) and Rice Rocket in Brampton (Home | mysite-2). Both were pretty quick and I was happy with the results.

    TV shows currently watching

The Wire can be hard to get into. I watched a few episodes initially and wasn’t into it/didn’t get the hype. When I had time, I tried again and watched a few more and then really got into it.

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Girlfriend was in Finger Lake on the weekend and brought back a breakfast stout from War Horse. Pretty solid. Compared to the breakfast stout from Founders, the coffee in this one was a bit more noticeable. Nitro can, too. I had a bunch from Collective Arts last week: IPA #10 (a bit too bitter...

    Anyone here a cyclist?

I put a set of Schwalbe Marathon Pluses on my hybrid and love them. They’re a bit heavy, but they’ve held up pretty nicely. I went down from 42C to 32C at the same time. I thought about 28c, but was a bit worried that it would be too drastic of a change.

Rusty gas tank needs new coating

I haven’t used them, but a while back I looked into places around the GTA that could seal a tank and these guys were recommended on another forum Gas Tank Exchange - We Do Gas Tank Repairs

    What's for dinner?

Nice knife, @kwtoxman! I’m also a fan of Japanese knives (and whetstones). One of my knives is SRS-15, which is similar to SG2 in terms of manufacturing process, composition, and hardenability. It’s probably my favourite knife for how easy it is to sharpen and how well it holds an edge. Have you...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Nice looking beer, @robertv19! I’ve only had a few beers from Barncat and they’ve been consistently great. They’re on my list of places to visit if I ever find myself in Cambridge on a Friday or Saturday.

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Here’s a piece by the brewer about brewing that beer: Filthy Money and Frozen Pizza Make Tasty Norwegian Beer He mentioned having to add sugar instead of just relying on malts to get to that ABV, since the mash would get to dry. He also mentioned adding an enzyme. This would break down complex...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I have only tried the patersbier and the quad from Spencer. I thought the quad was the better of the two, but I agree, it doesn't really compare to something like the Chimay blue or St Bernardus Abt 12. Off of Miggs' suggestion of the Aniara, I stopped by Brunswick Bierworks to grab a few...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

@jc100 I grabbed a couple bottles of that Boulevard Whiskey Barrel Stout after your earlier post about it. In terms of other good, big boozy stouts I’ve gotten from the LCBO in the past year, New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk, Fuller’s Imperial Stout, and Great Divide’s Yeti come to mind. They’re all...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Yeah, I picked up 1.5 lbs of Mosaic since it’s also my favourite hop and use it in every hoppy beer. Compared to Mosaic, I’m not as crazy about citra usually. We recently did a NEIPA and after the boil split the batch in 2 to ferment with different yeasts and do different dry-hopping. The one...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Stone Ruination 2.0: I tend to like a lot of Stone beers, but find the ones that show up at the lcbo tend to be a bit pricey. This is a DIPA and was pretty well done, with a good balance of hops and malts Schneider Aventinus (2018): I should have grabbed a few of these. Extremely smooth with...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I’ve been pretty impressed with most of the Dominion City beers that I’ve tried. I really like their Sunsplit IPA and also managed to get a couple cans of their Between Two Evils, which was really, really good.

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I had a Hellwoods (imperial stout) by Bellwoods Brewery the other day. It was extremely smooth and well-balanced, especially considering that it’s 10%. It almost felt too clean, since it wasn’t particularly roasty and booziness was nearly non-existent, even as it warmed up. I had thought about...
