What did you do in your garage today..?

Before I had a garage, I had to remove a stubborn filter and had the same pair of pliers. It looks like they’re just slipping on the filter. I ended up getting the pliers to really dig in and crush the filter somewhat. Once the slippage is gone, they should give enough leverage to get it...

    2024 Weekly BurgeRR Meetup - Wednesdays @7PM

I would feel bad about missing the meetup that’s closest to me, but we’re on standby for baby arrival. If I’m not there, it would be because things are happening on that front

    Sport touring tire recommendations

I’ve liked the Road 5 and now 6. I bought mainly on durability and all weather performance and was not let down. Before the Road 5s, the bike had some marginal Bridgestones that didn’t inspire confidence in the wet (don’t remember the model).

2024 Annual Honda Hawk GT Rally in Elmira, NY - August 3-4

I became a Hawk owner that weekend so I have my eye on next year already (thanks for the welcome on the Hawk forum, btw). On a related note, it looks like SOWD was a thing at one point but hasn’t happened in a while. I don’t know if there’s been any discussion about doing that again, but I’d be...

    Scorpion helmet issue.

Be careful using Loctite around plastic, as certain types of plastics can react and become brittle and crack. The ideal solution would be a fastener with a nylon patch. If the screw is M2 or M2.5, you could look for replacement screws for laptops, as these are often available with patches.

    1974 CB750 for a first bike ?

I bought a 40ish year old, low mileage CB550 as my first bike. It can be done, but if your main goal is riding, I think the idea of looking for a newer 300 would be way better. You can learn to ride on it, maybe drop it, get your M, and sell it for similar to what you paid for it. There are...

    Racer 5 Track Intro Review

In my group of 5 (back in 2019), at least 4 of us ran off there. On one occasion, 2 people in the group went down on the same lap and ended up within 5 feet of each other.

    The Toy Hauler

I recently had to move a bike from Guelph to Oshawa and had heard others here mention Chris/The Toy Hauler for motorcycle transport (@infernobuster on here). The move couldn't have gone better and I would definitely use his services again. He was friendly, responsive, and straightforward to...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Sounds great, @robertv19! Yeah, the Armed N Sabro was the first beer I have tried with that hop and I’m looking forward to trying more. I’m in North York, close to Scarborough. Of breweries around Cambridge, I’ve only had beers from Grand River Brewing, Hespeler Brewing, and Barncat so far...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I visited Rainhard Brewing recently and tried a bunch. I think they’re one of the better breweries in the GTA but had previously only stopped by the bottle shop. Best of the bunch was Armed N Sabro, a new IPA that they only had on tap. It was really well done. The others I tried were Brutal...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I picked up a bottle of Rodenbach Alexander, and then picked up a couple more. A mix of barrel aged and young beer, with 6.5% cherries. Anything I’ve tried from Rodenbach has been great and I they are always something that my girlfriend and I can both enjoy, even though we have pretty divergent...

Heady Topper from the can. Although it’s no longer “the most elusive beer in the world”, I can see why it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I love Delirium, but it’s been years since I had the Nocturnum. When I first had it, I was also drinking Gulden Draak pretty frequently. Visiting Westvleteren has been on my to do list for a while, but I had to settle for getting a black market 12 a while back in Brussels (before the release...

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

@robertv19 I found the Warlock at an LCBO 5 years ago and loved it. I knew nothing about it when I got it (had I known it was a pumpkin beer, I may have had 2nd thoughts about buying it). Definitely worth trying.

    G Shock

I have a couple. I have a DW5000 that I’ve worn most days for the past 11 years. It has a bit of road rash on the case shell and will soon be on its 3rd band. A while ago I also got a titanium one from 1996, the MRG-1.
