How much mileage on the bike with this particular chain? I would double-check: 1) both adjustment marks on the swing arm lined up; 2) the rear axle nut has been tightened to the OEM torque setting. If the bike was sitting for upwards of 4 years I might wonder about other potential contributing...

MadMike is correct, the interval is 24,000 kms. So your bike should have had it's 4th valve clearance inspection/adjustment at 96,000 kms. Was it done? LOL... I sound like a prospective buyer asking a seller questions about a bike's maintenance history.

Apparently the interval for valve clearance inspection/adjustment is 60,000 kms for Diavel models https://www.ducati.com/us/en/service-maintenance/transparent-maintenance So that puts your next check at 120,000 kms
