Resources for Electrical Knowledge, Connectors, Tools etc.

This is a great starting point. Thanks! Will take a look at Sayal for terminals, thanks again!

Resources for Electrical Knowledge, Connectors, Tools etc.

I’m working on re terminating connections on new turn signals and tail light to an aftermarket loom that goes to the back. Basically I spent good money for a kit with spade and bullet connectors on Amazon that came with a crimp, and the tool has a tendency to chew up terminals and some of them...

    Bikes with character...

Tune is good now I think - I believe my current running issues are valve caused. Though I won't know until the job is done. Was running great last summer, and then this spring it started acting funky again. Also had a P1108 error for a few days, though I unplugged and replugged the sensor and it...

    Bikes with character...

This is an interesting question for me too. I don't have a car (and don't particularly want one), and thus my bike is both a pleasure vehicle and a daily driver for most of the year. In the winter I just suffer. I am in this awkward middle ground where I would love something with lots of...

Temporary Stickers Before Registering as "Fit"?

My ownership for it currently is "fit", so I believe new owner would still able to do it! Thanks! I don't know how I didn't find this. Looks like they are eligible for a temp sticker since vehicle is "fit" in my name.

Temporary Stickers Before Registering as "Fit"?

Hey all, I'm selling a bike this week, and wondering if the purchaser can still get it registered as unfit, but be able to ride with a 10 day grace period to get a safety? Since stickers are not a thing anymore, I'm not sure if this is still possible. Would appreciate any info if you know how...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I generally go with friends that do their research. We check bylaws and find suitable locations etc :) no issue the last three or four times I’ve gone. But definitely lots of research to find good spots. Hopefully I can start digging around myself and finding spots via atlas and satellite etc...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Cheap high quality ammo for .22 is one of the main reasons I’m starting with it for sure! Hard to learn accurate shooting with Chinese surplus lol Last piece of the puzzle is finding where to shoot that isn’t a 3 hour drive from the city and a hike in the woods. For now Crown Land is good, but...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I loved plinking with a Mosin Nagant. Surplus bulk ammo is cheap enough, and the experience of shooting one is other worldly to me - it’s a pretty powerful round. Maybe I’m just sentimental since it was the first rifle I shot. Not great if you wanna shoot precision unless you get a really nice...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I went to Als Tuesday before work with the intention of getting a CZ457. They had a Tikka T1x (was also on my "maybe" list, but I wanted CZ for the better stock) with a 16" barrel that was just traded in by someone else the day before. Also got the usual snap caps, case etc. Still need to sort...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Ended up getting my card on Monday. Two months from mailing to receiving is pretty good - I guess I got lucky and/or they are finally staffed enough to put these cards out in a reasonable time. Either way - glad the wait is over!

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Yeah, it seems hit or miss with when you get processed. I've read of people (and even have friends) who've been waiting for 1-2 years. I submitted my papers mid December, so I got really lucky with being approved and issued in a month. Hoping my luck didn't run out at the very last step of the...

Insurance renewal is higher this year???

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Finally had my PAL approved mid January. Still no card in the mail unfortunately, seems they had some delays with printer issues and changing to a new card format. Very excited to finally get my card in the mail! Already speccing out a good-ish entry "precision" setup with a .22lr CZ457 or...

Insurance renewal is higher this year???

Called up a bunch of companies. Most won’t insure me because I have under 5 years riding experience. TD got back to me with a $3500 quote as opposed to the $2275 or so I have to pay now. Had a great Wawanesa broker quote me $100 less but said his company won’t insure without house and car as...

Insurance renewal is higher this year???

Another question re switching, since I haven't had to do it in a few years... Don't remember how it went: When getting a quote, I remember them only honoring it for 30 days. Is there a way for them to set up the policy say in early January to only become in effect at the end of Feb, so that it...

Insurance renewal is higher this year???

Noted! Yeah so I updated my Desjardins policy from a KLR650 to the Scrambler 900, with a minor adjustment during the existing period. Just not thrilled that my insurance is up by $15/mo with the renewal. Going to call up some companies in January and see what quotes they give me.

Insurance renewal is higher this year???

So I got a 2015 Triumph Scrambler 900 last summer mid-policy, and had a slight change to my rate upwards to account for it which is understandable. By a few bucks a month maybe Just got a renewal offer from Desjardins for 2023 - I am entering my 5th year of riding next year, am 25 years old now...

    Product Photography & Design

What is the timeline / scale of the project? Depending on what it is I may be able to help out. I do tons of product photography professionally, though generally just clothing and some small objects. I don't have studio space for anything super "creative", so that would have to be done at a...

    Recommendations for a budget Soundbar?

50" feels good! When I'm leaning forward on the couch gaming I am probably 6 or 7 feet from the screen. Could've gone 55 or 60 but there was pretty substantial cost savings in 50". Still one of, if not the biggest TVs I've ever had throughout my life. Neighbor situation is good. I keep the...
