    Peace out

Well boys I've read a few of these posts but now it's my time to make one. It's been a good 8 years with the DRZ but I sold it this past Thursday. While I enjoyed owning the DRZ, in the last 5 years I've rode it all of about 1000km. With the dog, jet ski, mountain bikes, and doing work around...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Got the outside buttoned up and weatherproof. The inside didn't turn out exactly how I would have liked, so I'm just going to skin it with 1/4" maple plywood and paint it white again

Also has anyone ever looked into these $70 PVC marble look-a-like sheets you can buy on Facebook Marketplace? I've decided I don't want to paint this window so I'm looking into cheap options.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Finally got my pot lights wired up back to the panel. They are now on a separate circuit with my office. Very happy with how they turned out. Not sure how much I'm into them for, maybe $400 all said and done.

That's some good info, thanks Mike. The source of the water appears to be that the bottom flashing didn't meet perfectly with the window, and the original installer used caulking to fill the gap. Over the year the caulking cracked and a hole opened up. Very isolated issue it appears

Agreed. All I can tell is that it was installed pre 2007. It made it a decent amount of time

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Yeah I like the bay window. My only gripe is the front of the bay window is nearly inline with the edge of the gutters, so it's getting rain all the time. Not the entire reason it leaked by definitely a contributing factor

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

That was my original plan. It would appear that the 3/4" plywood is the framing, and everything underneath is simply there to support the fascia. If the window is cantilevered on the edge of the plywood, Im not sure if I can cut out a portion and slip a new one in I've got a family friend who...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Jfc Was sanding the interior window ledge in the front bay window and the wood felt soft. Got curious and pulled some of the flashing back from under the window.... The other side has started to rot, though no where near as bad. Window has to come to fix it. Debating if I'm taking the window...

No just two wires. There are just the old boob lights there now. I'll take a look at the Lutron kit. That looks pretty cool

Anyone have a good link for where to get ceiling fans for a reasonable price? Or can recommend a good brand? I need to buy 2 for the house. Nothing fancy, just white ceiling fans with an LED light around 48"... The last one I had was a Modern Forms Axis 52", and while it looked nice, had a lot...

ive heard that before, that local places can get these lights for like a third of the price. I'm more of a home depot guy just for the convenience that its open until 9pm.

These are the lights I went with. Pretty happen with them install wise. I wanted some that were insulation contact rated, air sealed, and color temp selectable, and these fit the bill. Hopefully they last...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Spent 3hrs up in the attic putting in pot lights in the living room last night. The lights are all wired together but still don't have a light switch or feed yet. This is the room lit up with 2 flashlights at 10pm to take the picture. I don't know how people lived in this house for 70years...

True on the fan, will have to see what works best The morning would 100% be better. This morning would have also been good with the cooler temps, rain, and cloudy, but I didn't get home from work until 4:30 when the sun had come out. Tomorrow evening might be ok also.
