2022 Gas Prices - Will $2(+) per Litre slow you down?

Burned over $175 worth of premium in two sleds over the past weekend and that was just local riding. Fuel prices won't change my riding habits this summer but I do only put $100 into my F-150 at a time right now, just don't want to see the pump flash a number close to $200 lol.

Province(s) start lifting Covid 19 restrictions

Interesting. I do agree on the lost opportunity costs. It's a decision I struggle with sometimes. I keep enough to maintain my lifestyle for 4 months but if things got ugly I could stretch it to cover 6 months of living expenses if needed. I did consider doing the same as you and using my...

Province(s) start lifting Covid 19 restrictions

I go back and forth between EQ and Tangerine for my emergency fund. Money usually stays in EQ (Currently 1.25%) but I shift money over to Tangerine when they put offers out for a higher rate on new deposits. The majority is now at Tangerine earning 2% until the end of April I believe, once...

How to handle frame with docs?

Okay. I would contact the CBSA again and ask them if they will allow you to import it on a Form 1 as a vehicle or if they will force you to import it as parts on Form 3. If they won’t give you a Form 1 then you will likely have to build the bike up first. If they won’t contact a custom broker...

How to handle frame with docs?

What year is it? Over 15 years old it’s doable and fairly easy. Newer then that from overseas is going to be almost impossible. The Registar of Imported vehicles is who you will want to contact.

    Stocks

To make things simple you can buy it as a Canadian depositary receipt. There is a management fee so it does cost a little, I think it’s .6%. I don’t hold any so I don’t know the ins and outs but worth checking into. What is a Canadian Depositary Receipt (CDR)? AAPL.NE is the ticker Edit...

    COVID and the housing market

I could go back to Hamilton no problem. I really enjoyed it the 10 years I lived there. Hamilton properties have done very well over the years and I would be comfortable owning there. On that Kitchener town house. Don’t FOMO your way into putting down a deposit or signing a contract for a...

Any members here that have sleds too?

Sorry to hear that happened, huge bummer banging up the new sled. Hope you heal up quick and glad the injuries weren’t worse.

Any members here that have sleds too?

    You’re correct. I forgot about 550’s.

Any members here that have sleds too?

For the most part nothing special. Very similar to MC batteries. There are kits available to swap for lithium to save weight. Skidoo has a pretty cool optional system called shot. You have to pull start for the first start of the day but then electric start afterwards. No battery. Snowmobile...

Any members here that have sleds too?

All EFI. You could get a carb skidoo 600 up until a year or two ago. It was replaced with the 600 efi as a entry level model. There is a 600R etec above that which makes quite a bit more power. Polaris and Cat have been strictly EFI for quite a while.

    Buying out of province

“What are the Rules for Sales to out-of-province purchasers? Put simply: If delivery takes place in Ontario, then 13% HST will apply to the sale, regardless of where the customer lives. If delivery takes place outside of Ontario, the tax applicable to that province should be charged. Delivery...

    Buying out of province

@Hack like @Evoex said you will be charged taxes at the ministry of the province you buy the vehicle in if you register it there. When you go to the MTO they will make you pay the provincial portion of the HST. You then can claim back the provincial portion from the original transaction in the...

    Buying out of province

Taxes should be charged based on where delivery takes place. If it is picked up at the dealer then the taxes should be charged as a local buyer. If it is shipped to the buyer in their home province then it is charged at their tax rate.

    So.....recession time!?

I don't really know but in my opinion we aren't currently headed for a recession. Mortgage defaults are low, demand for consumer products seems high, trades are busy. Money keeps changing hands and it doesn't appear to be slowing down.

    Feedback please

I know. I haven't checked on Rav's lately but if you put a deposit down now you should be able to get one by say summer. Might be worth calling around that's all.

    Feedback please

It's hard to go wrong with a Rav4. You have been kicking this idea around for a little bit, I would also look at new in this market if you have time to wait for one incoming.

Yamaha Ténéré Raid 700 Breaks Cover in New Patents

I have a T7. None of the changes on that Raid model appeal to me but fuel range is a common complaint on Tenere forums/FB so I expect this to sell well. I find the tank on the base model to be a little big physically to begin with, the raid looks WIDE. There are other bikes I would prefer for...

Been stuck in the same spot at 404/401 for 30 mins

They must of got stuck behind the plows I saw waiting at Dunlop. I was doing 90 km/h for the majority, slowed a little at hwy 9 and I got off at King Road. HWY 27 traffic was light until HWY 7 if it helps them. I would avoid 401 and 427 getting to Pearson.
