hmm according to that chart it doesnt look too bad. august seems like the 3rd driest month on that chart. i'm currently booked off for 2 weeks in august but my work is pretty flexible in letting me switch. i might make that decision depending on how motel availability looks when i start looking...
i think others have pointed your possible error already, but if it were a 20 minute jaunt i definitely wouldn't be riding 20 hours to get to it. i don't think i'll mind riding around NS regardless though!
this feels like something i need to do before i get too old or something anyway.
good to know about the fueling. im pretty good with gas'ing up cause my fuel gauge sucks and is always waaay too pessimistic compared to whats actually left in the tank.
i've definitely ridden longer single day rides. just not back to back over 5 days for sure. my last long'ish ride was probably tobermory and back which was about 10 hours round trip (but this was also on a different bike). definitely gonna head out a bit more in ontario now that i have extended...
yah i'm just not a camper. with 20% staycation credit which i THINK allows upwards to $1000 total back on hotel/whatever stays, it should be alright.
just curious did you go clockwise or counterclockwise on the trail?
good idea about just getting to montreal on the 401. i'll make note of that.
and yah my tank only holds about 12.7L but i've been keeping track of fuel consumption and it gets about 25-29km per litre on highway riding.
im starting to think maybe shifting it to september might be a bit better...
i want to take about 2 weeks to get there and back sometime in August. will it be loaded with tourists around then?
i know some people have literally ridden all the way to moncton in one day, but thats not me.
i'm also riding essentially a cafe racer style bike with a small tank and don't...
i don't trust it. the gauge and needle is super small and i find it gives me a 'range of accuracy'.
if i inflate it to 36'ish PSI using the built-in gauge and then test it with my other gauges (assuming they're more accurate but i guess i cant say for sure), i found it can give me a reading...
my cheap portable air compressor connects to a standard shrader valve.
i've always had a separate tire gauge to measure with. i'd fill a tire. take off the compressor. check it with air gauge. take it off and repeat.
i recently bought this tire gauge from Princess Auto that lets me connect an...
ahhh ok so theres technically like a meter long 'invisible' stick attached to the ram mount? i guess thats the only way to get an actual 360 view unless you're mounting it on top of your helmet or something.
you cant even ride a slow bike fast on a 30km/h road lol. its insane.
there was also some kid who drove over 100km/h on a street road and literally killed 2 kids. he only got 1 year of juvenile jail time (which is basically just like a halfway house where you can just leave if you wanted). its...
i hated riders-share. i had the same plan (went to LA a few years ago) and tried to pre-book a bike to ride around PCH, joshua tree etc. i tried to book like 5 different bikes online and all of them took forever to get back to me or just cancelled randomly. i ended up just renting a bmw (car)...
oh yep! the ashbridge estate. apparently belonged to one of the first familes in toronto (york) and the house has been there since 1854.
