Rode it back today from Orangeville via Belfountain.
It was chilly , I was fully layered up. But otherwise a beautiful day for a ride.
My initial impressions after 100 km first ride.
1) a very smooth engine, (maybe too smooth , I was looking for a bit more "character")
2 ) Absolutely...
Picked it up for 4500$.
Needs new tires (still had original tires from 2010, with vent spews), only 1200 km.
Pretty much brand spanking new.
Oil change was done few weeks back, no rust in tank.
Overall very Happy with it.
P.s. I think I am turning into a Triumph fan; having owned only...

And followed a step by step YouTube video to install it myself. No bumper to remove, just needed to remove exhaust from the hangar and few plastic panels underneath .

Fall colors at full swing, almost at the tail end.

I had bought 2002 zx6 last year which was sitting for 15 years.
Main issues I had was carbs. The air filter was never changed and it crusted and jammed up the carbs. I rebuilt the carbs following a YouTube video and all balls racing rebuilt kit.
Also changed all the fluids , and air filter. Been...

Tried to reinsert the cable , and made sure the notch at the end of the cable aligns with the gears. Still didn't help.
Took the bike back to the mechanic, he inspected and...
Gen 1 Yamaha fjr 1300. Sold it in 3 months of owning. Bike had no character, couldn't bear the heat from the engine , my legs and b*lls were bbqed everytime I went for a ride.
Only bike I had no regrets selling.
