CRA and Bare Trust Reporting / Trust Return Requirements for 2023

My CA has provided this one pager [if it is of interest to you, please download and read the attachment] on this new Trust reporting requirement. The notions are open to interpretation - CRA's that is, let's see how this first year works out.

    Anyone use Batteryclerk.ca?

As GG says, the performance under load is a better marker than the voltage reading of the battery. I am no expert, but these are the basics that as an ex-Marine Engg that I remember. Volts = the pressure pushing the electric current. Watts = the power it takes for the battery to actually do...

    Riders Plus

Home + Auto + Bike are up by ~ 12.5%. Am planning on staying put (with Matt from The BIG, he is a site supporter), Matt is pretty responsive and am sure that the rates from "others" will not vary a lot. (Banks, Insurance Cos and Politicians, all have their hands in our collective pockets!)

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

Are your bikes on battery tenders and are the batteries AGMs? Just curious, thanks.

    Compound miter saw

Any suggestion as to where I can go to place an order? HD doesn't have them and the Sales Associate seemed clueless, have not seen them on Amazon . Thanks

    Compound miter saw

Minor thread derail, apologies Jampy00. I have a Rockwell 5A corded 4 1/2" circular saw, bought for occassional use. Thing is that the arbor size is 3/8" (9.5 mm) and except for Rockwell, most after-market 4 1/2" circular saws have an arbor size of 5/8" or 7/8". Is there an available adapter...

The Lunar New Year (on Feb 10th)

In advance for Feb 10th, Happy Year of the Dragon! If your age is a multiple of 12 this year, you’re a dragon in the Chinese zodiac. The dragon is a powerful, energetic and ambitious creature. Yes, it can be temperamental and self-centred, but it’s also very likable and popular, with enviable...

    V100 mandello review

At first glance, do I see the lines of the Katana in the design of the body work?

Thank you gtam for not selling out

The "other" (make specific) forum that I am a member of has recently switched to Verticalscope and I only got to know of it when I started getting the "server not available" error message while trying to access that forum via Tapatalk. To be polite, let me share that the response times to access...

    Another Mike Holmes Stinker (Meaford)

Was approached in a Home Depot Mississauga store by a guy wearing the Home Depot apron, soliciting for a "free water purity test". Almost fell for it 'cos of the Home Depot apron and it being in a Home Depot store - is Home Depot that broke to resort to this scam?

    Holiday destinations

Quick note, "metal" currency i.e. coins were not accepted when I had visited there. US currency more welcome than CAN$

    Normal car recommendation….

Mazda's drive well and their quality of construction easily meets that of premium euro models. Took a test drive of a CX-30 turbo and this one is a "Q ship", it will easily compete with the likes of an Audi Q3 (a dressed up VW)!

    Normal car recommendation….

More recently, Mazda's have had rusting at suspension fastening points, this too has been sorted out. Another issue was a "fast battery drain", also sorted out. These two issues stemmed from QC at the ancillary suppliers end. The body rust, is a past story. (gleaned from their forum)

Mazda's seem to be well thought of - anyone know of a reputable dealer in the west end ('Sauga and it's environs), that I can go to and try one on for size? (DM me) Thanks!

    Local Auto Thefts

The same reason for you are "guilty" if your dog attacks a trespasser on your property.

    Normal car recommendation….

Not disagreeing with you, the Mazda 3 is a great little car. Though, other hatchbacks out there have more space and nowadays an 8 speed box or CVT is the norm.

    The first $100 oil change.

I had to use a third party (not Blackstone) to convince the Dealer that the motor was running too cold to vaporize the blow-by (forced induction motor) fuel vapor and it was ending up polluting the crankcase oil. Turned out that this later was a nation-wide recall or TSB ( Dealers hate the word...

    Normal car recommendation….

All of what you say is true. Two caveats: - a 6 speed slush box (nowadays 8 speed is the norm) - space, it is "tight" in there for both pax and cargo.
