    Running.. ugghh

So I went from treadmill runner to outdoor runner in full 180. Had 3 runs on treadmill since reopening, mainly curious about my speed or when rain/too hot. However my running time is 11-2am avoids most obstacles. In fact have to force time off running now. Fall and winter won’t be good for me.

    Parking downtown

And in tonight’s downtown parking files after leaving work; a guy hiding behind bike pants down, goes back to car and speeds away with buddy. At least his aim was decent and not at the bike but the grate underneath. I’m starting to think I shouldn’t park at that exact spot again. I’m aiming for...

Who's dreaming up something big for next year?

My mom would be happy to tag along. She's been wanting to visit my brother there. My concern since pandemic is contact tracing/exposure and need to isolate after plane ride. That would exceed my vacation time than riding across solo. I would be put on ei or for those 2 weeks. Also I...

    Parking downtown

I got this from Revzilla, Givi 364FZ Top Case Support Brackets FZ6R 2009-2014 Givi TE2110 Easylock Side Case Racks Yamaha FZ6R 2009-2015 One bag damaged by me sliding in gravel, the other by idiots pushing my bike over. But this bags I got at GP and weren't meant to be touring bags due to...

    Parking downtown

Actually an old fart in his late 60's maybe I have another recent parking story of a bike parking this close (like that car) to my bike, in a nearly empty parking lot. 4 cars in a big Metro plaza parking lot in total, on the other side of the lot. However, he parked parallel to me in same spot...

    Parking downtown

I'm just moving on from this. However I added the non emergency number into my phone directory, so next time there's confrontation of such (cause Toronto) I'll just call the cops while recording the issue. I'm sure they would've at least ticketed his illegal plates in this case, and whatever...

    Parking downtown

Like 90 degree angle? I could do it but it won’t be enough space in this case. This street is $4/hr(?) so cars don’t stay long unless it’s contractor or disability parking whole day (I doubt he even paid), so basically I don’t know how the other drivers park their cars every few minutes. I try...

    Parking downtown

So it seems like everyone is on edge downtown. This guy parked so close to my bike I couldn't straighten it out. He showed up few minutes later, backed into my bike hitting it, I 'tapped' his car so he stops, (was sitting on bike whole time) so he comes out and arguing. He claimed he only heard...

Who's dreaming up something big for next year?

Are they really going to open though? I’ve done 2 one way trips from BC to here via states. I prefer ride via states; less worry about gas = riding anytime of day/night. There is some hope now that interprovincial travel won’t be as frowned upon by late summer, with BC opening up faster than...

    Hobbies? What keeps you sane?

With more time off than usual, I bought some painting supplies, but haven’t opened them yet. My life, pre working 2 jobs to travel, used to engage in more visual crafts, took photography part time in college too. Would like to get back to it. reality of my hobbies are working out at home, binge...

Thanks. Joints are still sore, even doing leg weights now is soreness. I may start doing intervals to build speed and get joints back up

Who's dreaming up something big for next year?

So far, travel within Canada looks worse this year than last year? Is douggie still trying to keep Ontario borders closed?? The west is still more open than Ontario. I haven’t decided what to do with my vacation this year, my brother on west coast sort of expecting someone to visit him...

    Canadian Tire - Curbside experiences

I prefer curb side pickup over trying to locate it instore. Only had one negative experience few months ago where the picker couldn’t locate weights, cancelled order. Weights went back in stock so purchased them again and next picker found them. The Pickup went with no hitch afterwards. Done...

    Running.. ugghh

I’m in 2 week dilemma of completing home gym or waiting for gyms to reopen. I finally took car off collision insurance next month so it’s also adds pressure. I bought that bar weight set off Canadian tire for $300 last month but the bar isn’t that good; held by screws, and only suggested for...

    Running.. ugghh

Well I’ve seen the used market doing that since the beginning of this. Just was surprised to see this from a big box store overnight. Have to wait for decent triangle offer now, which will still give back less than this markup.

    Running.. ugghh

Was browsing Canadian Tire website to add equipment to home gym, all weights went up by 25% in price since March this year. Purchased last set around that time. The 30lb bought for $58 is now $87, bench went from $130 to $170(?). Wish I purchased that power rack at $300 that is now $400.

    Running.. ugghh

Need to get back into running. Used to run 10k 5 days a week at gym. My problem is that I enjoyed the gym bubble, and the treadmill is a softer landing for joints. Plus the convenience of scheduling one stop workout area; running + some weights right after work, and go home. Now everyone wanders...

FedEX collecting taxes and duties on behalf of Canada Custom

I’ve avoided fedex/ups/etc but last month some companies moved to them because of the delays in usps/Royal Mail without my knowledge (free ship advertised so no specified carriers ). Ended up paying about $20 for ups/Dhl brokerage service + taxes. Considering the government charges $11 for...
