    Rubber Nob? Help!

Part ordered! Thanks for the help. Shipping cost was 3x the part's price, but I couldn't find it on Canadian online stores.

    Rubber Nob? Help!

That's it! Thanks! How'd you find it on Partzilla?

    Rubber Nob? Help!

No, it's definitely a rubber nob. There's a hole that it plugs into. I took it off last spring when I was swapping exhaust, but I must not have had it in tight.

    Rubber Nob? Help!

Thanks, but unfortunately my OCD won't allow it. LOL I'll take your advice, though, until I can get the proper piece.

    Rubber Nob? Help!

There should be a rubber nob on my exhaust that prevents the center stand from rattling against it. It's gone missing. I don't now what is called so I used the best resource I know of to identify it, Partzilla. Unfortunately, as you can see on the attached screenshot, they failed to list it...

    Tool Box Organization

I have 3 tool chests in the garage. 1) I have a tool chest and drawers for tools most commonly used on my motorcycle, plus a drawer dedicated to wiring and electrical. 2) A tool box that holds tools for home renos, like plumbing, drywall, etc., as well as my few welding supplies. 3) have a large...

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

Great info here, and things to investigate. Btw, that image is my bike exactly, at least when I bought it. The grey '03 GSX750F. I think, the most common Katana. I'll follow this advice for my '03, I think, but I'd still like to rebuild one, so I'll rebuild the '01 in the future. That was my...

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

That's how I got the '01. It was supposed to be a donner-bike, but plans changed when I decided to winter-ride. But it was $2000 two years ago. The only GSX750F's I see for $1000 are junk.

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

The first link didn't work. I had fixed it, and it works for me, but there may be a cache thing. Here's the second video link again. I appreciate your advise, but I don't expect you to sit through these videos. I just wondered if you are familiar with the channel and know if they are reliable...

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

What do you mean by "grey Katanas"? My '03 was factory grey, but I get the feeling your not talking about the bikes colour.

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

After watching a couple videos on the fork seals, this is the one I used: This is one I was looking at for the engine work, early research from a year ago that I haven't gotten back to yet:

    Cold Hands

So, connect both hot and both neutral to the same outlet, and that would draw power from both legs to spread the load?

My compressor is a 240v 60 gallon Husky. That sounds really cheap for copper wire. I would need about 150' of 2 awg to reach from box-to-box. Apparently you can have a junction, it must be one continuous piece.

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

In the long-run, I might do both, but that depends on how my first experience goes. I grew up working on cars. Although I've never done my own engine rebuild, I've done everything else. Engine swaps, tranny swaps, etc.. For some reason, my bike intimidated me and I always took it to my...

    Cold Hands

That's a lot of water! Wow. I have an 8 inch exhaust fan now, but I've also just picked up a 16" exhaust fan. I'll be installing that soon. The breaker doesn't pop immediately, but for example, I was in the garage with my 9 year old last weekend refinishing an axe handle. We had the...

    Cold Hands

It's a long way away, unfortunately. I'm gonna start setting money aside to upgrade it. I priced it at close to $2000 for the wire. If the government were to let us keep more of our hard-earned money, I'd like to take down this garage and build three bays across the back of my yard. I like to...

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

As a lot of you know, I have an '01 and an '03 GSX750F. The '01 is for winter use (not on the road this winter because the tank, carbs and other things are removed), and the '03 is for summer use. The '01 has about 50,000 kms and the '03 has about 65,000 kms. The '03 has what sounds like a bad...
