I have always been surprised by people that move to FL.
If you were born there I guess it seems different.
I get going on vacation, but actually living there and not knowing if and when your house will get blown away is really mind boggling.
I also found the part about the fuel as little worrying. I would think that being in the middle of nowhere or middle of the word you would want to know how much fuel you have.
Since the bike is pieced together from a variety of models and years, I would think that Noraly will get a cheat sheet...
They must have only looked at the $$$ presented to them as a promotional bribe . I'm sure it wasn't their first choice when looking at possible bikes to choose from.
I don't have the money to be influenced by marketing to that level.
However...
BMW did say (I'm paraphrasing ) that providing the bikes for the "Long Way Round" trip was the best marketing decision they ever made....
While, KTM was approached first and rejected the request as they thought it...

The only time it may become an issue is if you park on a soft shoulder or soft ground and the left lean angle is a little steeper than normal.

Well, you can remove the key but the latch will be in the locked position so you cannot latch it back onto the top cover part. But the key can be removed without fully closing and locking the case.

You are right about the security,. It only keeps the curious hands out of your cases but if someone wants something really bad they will get it.
The locks on the hard cases are a nuisance as you always need to use the key to open them. Which is most likely attached to the key ring in the ignition.
