Yeah I got a great deal at Royal last year on some summer riding pants. They were marked down because they were a greyish silverish green and everyone wants black.
2014 with Tech pkg, ELS audio, tan interior with woodgrain option, and aftermarket fancy wheels with wider than stock tires...and its still not a masculine vehicle.
But then again, my experience wiring a trailer was for a snowmobile trailer and a boat trailer, where corrosion is a big concern. I actually converted a small boat trailer into a covered drive-on snowmobile trailer back in the 90s.
For the wiring, personally if I was doing this, I would not bother trying to get a reliable ground off the frame, you're just asking for problems that only continue with time. I'd use a ground wire at each lamp and connect all ground wires to the ground wire coming from the vehicle connector...
