New Indiana Jones, boring beyond words. Makes the last one with aliens seem like Oscars material

That's a new one, punctured oil pan on the highway (with damage pics)

That is my mindset right now. It could have been significantly worse, both for me and the bike between the oiled down rear tire and coasting in heavy fast-moving heavy traffic across four lanes of traffic. As for insurance, not sure if it will be worth it even if my rates don't go up. My...

That's a new one, punctured oil pan on the highway (with damage pics)

Thanks guys, that looks to be it. I fished it out of the oil pan. Will drop the pan if I have time tomorrow to investigate further

That's a new one, punctured oil pan on the highway (with damage pics)

You might be right. The exterior scratches and the hole being directly underneath something (oil pickup tube?) make me think it was external. Need to take a closer look tomorrow Edit: Poked at the service manual. Looks like that is the dry sump tank at the back of the motor, crankshaft is...

That's a new one, punctured oil pan on the highway (with damage pics)

Guess I really should have bought a skid plate for 99% road only Super Tenere On the 401 today cruising at 120kmh hear a crunch, look behind me to see a trail of smoke, immediately hit the kill switch and pull in the clutch. Was able to coast from the far left lane to the minimized shoulder...

    Honda XR150l

I do not disagree at all. In Vietnam you are lucky to be able to cruise at 80 on the highway, speed limit is 80 but there is always traffic. Most people there use tiny scooters. Just curious the dichotomy between the two countries.

    Honda XR150l

Bought one when I was travelling Vietnam. Funny to see the comparison where it is too small of a bike for here, there it is as big of a bike as you need.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Not my taste but I'll give him credit that it does look to be well done compared to most of the abortions of this type.

    What are you reading?

The "Signature Edition" is $115 slightly used from Amazon. That is the one I bought, came brand new just without retail packaging.

    What are you reading?

Kind of. The biggest positives of Kindle's are the battery life and e-ink display. You are not going to get that on a cheap tablet. Resolution isn't great, but that's only an issue if you're reading graphic novels/books with diagrams. For normal text, it's a non-issue. Can't speak to the Oasis...

    What are you reading?

Ended up gifting my old Kindle to a friend and bought the current Paperwhite Signature Edition (Amazon has them slightly used for cheaper than the basic model). Not super impressed by it compared to the old one. It's only fractionally faster but still very laggy. The semi-glossy screen is a...

Good Shop for some maintenance work?

I would just buy the parts online and take them to Ken's Motoworks for install. He has done my tires a couple times with me bringing them in, and I'm pretty sure he's done a fork seal for me as well with my own parts
