Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

They Cloned Tyrone on Netflix - Wow, what a great movie. Somewhat along the lines of Get Out and just as well made

    ADV helmet choices

Looks decent and the price is good. Though my personal preference would be for a laminated gore-tex liner

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I have no idea what these go for but seems like a lot of bike for $6500 https://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-bikes/markham-york-region/2010-ducati-hypermotard-796-price-drop-for-quick-sale/1667214846

    Heading south

If you end up going south to Deals Gap, continue further south into the mountains of northern Georgia. Fantastic roads that don't have a lot of traffic.

    1974 CB750 for a first bike ?

Seriously, OP, you are overthinking things. It's your first bike, buy a 250-300, get your feet wet, then sell it in a season or two when you have an idea of what you want.

    Anti BLM? You decide.

Reread my post, don't see where I said anything about that specific video but more about this type of content creator. One that manufactures rage instead of introducing a nuanced discussion. Unfortunately, this is a formula that pays off extremely well for those that are successful at it such as...

    Anti BLM? You decide.

I'm not going to watch that but out of curiosity looked up his other videos. Basically everything that you would expect from someone trying to get views from the right wing rage machine. I honestly question how many of these people actually hold these views versus it being an attempt (very...

    Mac

As someone that has a NAS connected to a Linux server and has setup their own cloud storage, it just isn't worth it for 99.999999999% of people. The paid services (Apple if you're in their ecosystem, similarly with Google) just plain work so much better and more seamlessly. Also if you lose a...

Cryptocurrency is the future - NOT.

Listening to "A Death in Cryptoland" podcast. I knew of the story and many of the details before but it highlights pretty well the type of people this space attracts. Both scammers and idiots.

    Mac

I am assuming that she is on just the basic 5gb iCloud plan? Personally, I would (and do) pay Apple for additional storage. 50gb is $1.29/mo and 200gb is $3.99/mo. Sucks to pay for another service but having everything in the cloud and accessible from all of your Apple devices just makes life...

Will pay experienced rider to inspect possible bike purchase

Maybe I missed it but is there a specific reason you are only looking at 125's? Can't imagine it is a massive difference in insurance cost and you get a much more versatile bike. Looks like you can get a 250R in the $2000 range...

    Partzilla (awesome) and CrossBorderPickups (terrible)

Needed an oil pan for my bike. Local shops were quoting me $440 plus tax and it would take a few weeks from Yamaha. Partzilla somehow had one in stock (the pan only fits my Super Tenere, a fairly low volume bike) for $280 after currency conversion with free US shipping. Was delivered to Buffalo...

That's a new one, punctured oil pan on the highway (with damage pics)

So the drama seems to be over. Got a new pan and put it back together with a thorough clean. Rode it 200km's today without a glitch.

    Riders choice

I haven't bought a bike from them though have spoken to their sales guys a couple times in the past with good experiences. Was referring more to their gear selection and staff. Usually there is always someone on hand to help if I need it and they leave me alone if I don't. Pricing and selection...

    Riders choice

Think this is why GP stands out and has become such a success. Don't think I have ever had a negative experience buying stuff from them.
