    Avoiding fortnine now

I have an RF1200, still like new. Measured to fit, even went into the store, it was tight and a PIA to take on/off. Was my first ever lid, thought that was normal, everyone and the sales rep said it will break in, main thing is no pressure points or movement. Well 1 year in, never broke in. I...

Sunday Morning Rides are Over - Cyclists win.

The OP started a thread to do with cyclists ruining a ride and taking up space, and somehow you needed to bring Vegans into the thread... I agree with a lot of the posts, I don't understand why cyclists ride side by side, esp when back to back is better for drag, taking turns to rest...

Sunday Morning Rides are Over - Cyclists win.

What have Vegans done to make your quality of life worse? As for the cyclists, I've been riding 5yr+ and never had an issue, or even come across a group. Even if so, Canada is so massive, with millions of km's, the fact that you won't ride Sunday mornings isn't due the cyclists, it's not...

    What is up with people?

This. Alongside short attention spans and what's called Future Shock. Alvin Toffler did a great deal of work, from a book to documentary on it in 1972, and it's all come to light. I'm a first gen immigrant, I've seen my dad/mum work slave jobs, paying 10x the insurance rates of locals when...

Best sport touring bikes for long distance

It's a great price. A Base starts at $16, 5k, with $1.5K discount. that doesn't include PDI. That one advertised has the first service done, crash bars, center stand, pannier racks, rear rack, and high fender kit. 2019 did have an AS model

    2021 Day Trips!

If you ever go, I can join you. The good thing with a lot of those roads is, I just tell myself if it gets really bad, I just turn around and go back the way I came. I also found there are cottages and places near most of them, so if something does go wrong, there is a place to go, even if no...

    2021 Day Trips!

@mimico_polak so 300km range is the same as the stock one, in terms of comfort? I'm looking at getting a SC for the T7, hoping atleast 800km days are comfy. Right now, at the end of that things are sore. I use a sheepskin, its so so. I got one of those air mesh cover things for the CBX seat, I...

    Prices going up ?

One time travelling for work, I was with the Director, he looked at me before we entered the line and told me to go alone, since my "Turban would get him pulled"... I was like, okay buddy (he was Indian as well, a bit of a racial prick) Funny enough, we reach the line, he gets pulled aside...

I haven't been here too long, though what happened to so many of these people? Just moved on from bikes, community, gone?

    Prices going up ?

Love reading all these border reports... I wear a Turban, and lets just say, have been "randomly" pulled aside numerous times, luckily, I just smile, comply, and always get to skip the long line while everyone stares at me with fear walk away with a guard. My friend worked at the Ottawa airport...

Not sure I would compare it to the 800GS, which has spoked wheels, better weight distribution, and imo, a better bike, more comparable to the 850GS. Though yeh, even with all the farkles, that listed GS is over priced for it's age and what is available now days. i remember seeing an Africa...

Can even score a fully kitted out, low KM 990 for less - 2009 KTM 990 Adventure | Dirt Bikes & Motocross | Ottawa | Kijiji There was a post in the CBX ADVrider section, from a BMW Mechanic who installed the Rally Raid kit on a friends CBX, and he wrote about how much better that option is...

    Motorcycle Happy Place

I think it's over priced to start, you wouldn't be able to get $8k for that GS next year, post pandemic prices. It's not even the more sought after GSA model. For an extra few $, you could get a brand new T7, and maybe score 0% financing for a year. Or, this Africa twin, for even less, and more...

    Motorcycle Happy Place

The CBX also has much better fuel mileage, is lighter, 4 years newer, and probably smoother/less vibey. Lot's of nice bikes to get for $12k, the CBX+a Dirt bike, and change to spare is much nicer, esp with the new trailer @mimico_polak got

    Motorcycle Happy Place

None of the bikes, other than the CRF250 would be anymore capable off road than that GS, in the CBX's case, even less. that Beemer's rear gas tank lowers the COG, making it more suited than anything mentioned, other than the 250. So it's a very odd trade. Oh, about the OP... having owned the...

    Motorcycle Happy Place

Why Trade for a KLR? The F800GS is 478lbs wet, CBX is 434, and KLR is 432, all have less power, and not much difference in height. Personally I'd keep the CBX over that, tubeless wheels, much newer, cheaper to maintain, and better reliability. Use the balance saved to get yourself a dirtbike
