They must have done some structural work on that elevator as a few years back was plastered with Danger signs and looked like it was close to falling down.
Sburns - the old rail-trails are easy-peasy and a nice change of pace if you want to run one from Hastings to Cford for example. Your...
I put an MRA sport shorty on mine. Same size or possibly a tad shorter ever than the Pikes Peak one. I put a tinted one from Aliexpress on my S1000XR and the quality was as good as oem. The MRA one was around $125ish. The Alie one was $20.
Here's the MRA readily available for the older <14...
The 16 Multistrada 1200S I had is still one of my all-time favourite bikes and that's saying a lot. Lot's of character and a pure joy to ride anywhere. No it won't do sand or deep/loose gravel well but that's a tire issue and not a bike issue. Hardpack dirt, fire-roads, regular gravel are all no...
I will be doing it in the next few weeks. I usually do our vehicles trannies every 100k but we don’t do any stop/go or city driving so they all have an easy life. The Ody is at 74k now so I’ll do it a bit early even on my standards but most picky/OCD Ody owners do them every 50k miles so I’m...
Indeed. The ones I chose aren’t LT and although they look the part they aren’t meant for hard off-road so they’re still as light as the oem ones so mileage is unaffected (currently 21mpg in mixed spirited driving).
Amazing how different tires affect the ride quality. I put some Cooper Road and Trail tires on partially for more rugged looks, partially for better snow and rain performance. With the oem tires the truck had a floaty feel and now it rides firm and planted.
With the stock tires in the back on...
Free tip if your oil filter is down-pointing is to cover it entirely in an old plastic bag leaving it on while you unscrew it (old bread loaf bags work great). That way all the oil stays in the bag and it’s a quick easy cleanup with little to no mess. Changed the oil/filter in our Ody this...
Not sticking up for Honda in that regard but can it be a beef with Honda if every other bike in the same category did as well? You either pay to upgrade to what your requirements are or you pay up front for a 890R which costs so much more it isn’t even in the same category (and to be fair the...
The Transalp 750 is actually really good. It also feels lighter than most of the competition and the weight it has is held low. My buddy has one and we put 750km on it yesterday. It was a blast in the twisties of Westport and Renfrew areas and dispatched of the Barry Lake Trail on the same day...
Ardoch Road just south of Oompah always has amazing silvers/reds before surrounding areas peak. May head out that way next week and take a look (and explore anything that looks offroad messy and fun along the way).
I’ve always liked the last generation FZ1. They look sporty with the aluminum frame, they’re super reliable, around 100hp but tuned for midrange. They don’t sell well so low mile ones can be had for $5ish. Seems to fit your needs.
The old carbed Bandit 1200’s are a great option as well. Also...
