    Hearing loss

Connect hearing is blowing out their top end units (Phonak L90). Were $6500 out of pocket, dropped to $4500. I'm going for a fitting Wednesday morn.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Searched for $200 worth of braided lines I had made up and were too short once I got the proper bars. I would like to use them on my latest project but cannot for the life of me figure out where the eff I stored them.....

    Christmas Gift Ideas 2024 Addition

We don't spend much as we're all cool with thrift store finds. Who cares if the book you just got has already been read. I always like the personal inscriptions you sometimes find in the fly leave of a used book.

    Does the car you drive...

No, my car is not a reflection of me except for the "My other car is 10 motorcycles that don't run" bumper sticker. Yes, I'll talk to folks with a nice car. No, I would not accost you over an 84 Buick.

What did you do in your garage today..?

If you have one of those strap models that's slipping wrap a loop of sandpaper around the strap. Problem solved.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

My mythical sporty would have flat bars if my hips agreed, 2" risers at the max. With lower bars I just don't think the FC really works as well.

Peel Police patrol the Highway also

CM people can also be idiots. I had an issue with drainage. When I explained to their guy that I'm the low spot and it make sense that's where the culvert would be. He tried to suggest the culvert was on higher ground on my neighbour's property. Me: "how would the water make it up to that...

What Are You Currently Listening To?

I like this tune and hit the repeat button when it came on. I let it go all afternoon (20 or 30 times) and it's still not out of my system yet. FWIW Hawaii does not have the longest days and unless their related to @bigpoppa surely not "everybody's making big romance"

    More trouble in snowmobile land

My buddy was an avid sledder back in the day. He worked for the town plowing snow all the while thinking when he retired he'd be sledding on it instead of plowing it. In the 8 eight years since he retired we have barely had a decent winter.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Sorry @adri just noticed your sporty has forward controls. That would be a hard NO on the 883 if I ever did buy in. Are you liking that aspect at all??

    More trouble in snowmobile land

With the old leaf spring suspension on my sled it can get a little hairy at speed. Get on the pipe and the front end starts to floats, the tracks breaking loose and the sound of two big velocity stacks sucking air all comes together for a wild ride. Honestly punching it on this old sled is...

    More trouble in snowmobile land

I've fallen for that line more than once. Sledding doesn't have to be expensive. I have a 1980 Kawasaki 440 Invader. Paid $1500 for it about 10 years ago. Sure it's vintage and won't run with the real big dogs but my buddy also has old Kawis so no problem. It's been ridiculously reliable...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

I liked Mikey Harris, but closing the phsych wards w/o any replacement is something we still have issues with. The same is the case with many in homeless camps I'm sure.

    More trouble in snowmobile land

Not a big surprise. I rode my bike every month last winter. Sled didn't leave the garage.

Sorry that's not me. I was just having fun mocking the bible.

Indeed. When was my sled last on an open trail????

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

That doesn't sound right. Weather gets cold, peoples thoughts turn to snowmobiling and everyone is happy winter has finally arrived.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Other than decent jacket and pants an Evest (plug in) is really my only cold weather gear beyond a knitted dickie for around my neck. The vest is golden!
