What did you do in your garage today..?

Be sure to score the concrete into sections. No matter how careful you are, it WILL crack.

The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

There was a hangtag on it with a list price of $479. On the bottom of the box is a barcode sticker with Amazon on it. It is applied over top of another barcode sticker. I get the feeling that anything that doesn't pass final inspection gets sent off to Amazon. They did offer a replacement, but I...

    Certas/Desjardins Horrible

I had a motorcycle claim with TD a few years ago and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. No hassles at all. Prompt and efficient and nice. This Spring I shopped around. I could have saved 100 bucks with Wawanesa but chose to stay with TD.

I bought it! Thought it would make a nice blue beater. It came today. There's a tiny sliver of some foreign matter on the inside of the crystal. They offered me $40 off as compensation. I declined and opted to return it. It was running, with the time and date set correctly. I thought that odd...

I know you like blue, which is why I asked. How do you like this blue one? I have one exactly like it, made in 1969. it seems to run OK though I haven't fully wound it. It's been in a drawer for 50 years and I can assuredly say it's never been serviced or even opened. I want to sell it...

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

Yesterday was probably my last outing of the season. York Region roads had dried brine lines on them in the morning, from the night before. I got out of York ASAP, and into Durham. No brine there. As the sun was setting, back into York, the temp dropped into single digits, and the roads got...

Why US and Canada (cities) suck.

I travelled extensively throughout Spain. Once I was invited to a party at the Torrejone USAF base near Madrid. I felt like I was in Ohio.
