    Power leads for heated gear

I think I may have lost the leads for my Mobile Warming heated liner. Are these typically standard across makes? I thought mine was a male RCA connector like my heated snowmobile helmets, but the center part is actually much bigger and may even receive a pin. I see this Optimate set on...

    Selling concert tickets

Ah RFD. In their heyday I used to spend way too much time there snagging deals I didn’t need. I did score a Ridgid Gas pressure washer at Home Depot thanks to a post there. Subaru engine, $150. The sales guy couldn’t believe what his scanner said after I asked Him to scan a box on the top...

    Selling concert tickets

I looked at Stubhub. They’re suggesting listing the ticket for maybe 20$ more than I paid for them after TicketMaster fees. Which seems a ripoff if accounts of tickets selling for multiples of face value are anything close to accurate. And I saw something about Ticketmaster only reselling...

    Selling concert tickets

I’m not trying to sell tickets here, but am curious as to how it works. I was able to get four tickets to a very much in-demand concert. In the heat of the queue, I spent way more than I was planning to spend and am considering selling a pair of them, considering that tickets are said to be...

That's a benefit whose value cannot be overstated. If you trade in a bike you can get rid of it ASAP. and be on to the next toy. No paying insurance on a bike you're not riding. No waiting around to buy the bike you want because you can't sell your current bike. No wasting time answering...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Have you considered trading the bike in? I know common wisdom is that dealers charge more, but doing so will reduce the sales tax you pay on the bike you're buying - you'll only pay tax on the difference between purchase and sale price. Whereas if you buy a bike privately, you're paying tax on...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

If it doesn't sell in whatever market you're in, after a reasonable time and even with a minor reduction in price after negotiation with an interested seller, it's the former. If it sells extremely quickly, possibly sight unseen, it's probably underpriced. Note that my definition of what is...

Why did you replace the stock PP screen with an MRA? And can you PM me with details of the Ali screen you bought for your other bike?

Problem is it’s impossible to source the OEM or other shorties at the regular suspects- they’re just no longer available for 10 year old bikes. Only options I have identified are 1) cutting the screen, 2) AliExpress, 3) used, 4) those ugly wind deflectors that clip on the top of a screen...

We’re of similar dimensions then, so my offer to @Priller is good for you too. If I can do it, you can do it. The challenge is not when you’re going fast or slow but rather when you’re not moving at all. I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve dropped it a few times, each time at a complete standstill...

What are conditions on Southwood 13 , 26 (Frank Miller), 7 thru Port Sandfield to 632 to Rosseau

Yeah the problem is on all those blind curves you can be right in your lane and oncoming traffic is way wide. Defensive techniques can help but there’s no limit to how egregious some of those drivers (and riders) can be.

I really should have qualified that comment. For me the wind noise is really loud. But a lot of that depends on your own dimensions. I’m short. If I stand on the pegs I can get some clean air and noise is much reduced. Last weekend I added spacers to the windshield, and if I stand up wind...

What are conditions on Southwood 13 , 26 (Frank Miller), 7 thru Port Sandfield to 632 to Rosseau

I keep my bike pretty close to Southwood and honestly, I feel like it's a matter of time before somebody going wide in all those blind turns kills me. Because they all seem to go wide. I talked to a guy in the Kawarthas, the day after two motorcyclists crashed into the back of his truck...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

If you’re talking about a 2010+ Multistrada, yes, they go like a bat out of hell. Be warned however. I understand you are shorter of stature, as I am. The bike is tall and rides taller. And it does not like going off road. (Stock) tires are entirely street oriented, lots of plastic sticking...

    Getting custom ear plugs made

Yeah I will definitely give him a call. He was a very decent guy. Just haven’t had time and wanted to share my initial impressions. Either they broke pretty quickly or they didn’t work very well at the outset. I think they probably didn’t work well at the outset since my initial feeling was...

    Getting custom ear plugs made

Put these to the test yesterday. Wind noise was obviously way worse than my foams at only moderate speeds (say 80 km/h). I was very disappointed. Looking at them I'm not sure if the part that inserts into the ear has partially torn off or not, the nub looks a lot shorter than I remember. If...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I’m not in the market for a TT as I own a Multistrada. But show me one for even close to 4K and I’d find some reason to buy it. I am not into Harleys, so one would be worth next to dirt “to me”. But saying so adds no value to a conversation about reasonable prices.
