    How to get 600v

Thanks, I actually know some of this (I'm a bit smarter than I thought) He's a single operator so I guess 1 machine at a time when we consider total load. I agree, Where I am I'm not sure if there is any close 600v connections, but to fair lots of farming around here so it could be? I've seen...

    How to get 600v

Please forgive my ignorance, I'm not an electrical guy. How does one go about getting a 600v connection on their property? For running machinery etc. I currently have 120 and 240 at the location with a breaker box etc. I'm guessing the utility company and permits are required for this? I...

    More automatic transmissions

Seriously? this is your expectation of a forum reply, that it be based on the "what if's" of 30-40 years down the road? It is impossible to predict where trends will go, in 30-40 years from now the human race could be wiped out, so what then?

    More automatic transmissions

So based on my comment you think manual shift motorcycles are dead? I wish I had that kind of power, but no, manual shift motorcycles are not going away any time soon. Having the OPTION of automatic is good as it can possibly keep people riding and BUYING motorcycles. No idea why you want to...

How much mileage is too much mileage?

This will be farm truck, no way I am paying what they are asking for new, we're setting a budget of $5000.00 for next year. We're keeping our existing vehicles so this third vehicle will likely never see 20K KM's for the duration of it's life with me. Already know many of the pitfall area's to...

    Volt Meter

That is an excellent idea, I typically use a desk lamp etc. The tracer is a good starting point then you can confirm with an actual light or appliance etc. I just hate the flick all the breakers game...

    Volt Meter

Basically does line have power on/off But since many of our breaker are either not listed or incorrectly listed, being able to trace is a good idea. As asked above, not looking for cheap looking for inexpensive, but I'm not an electrician so don't need that level of quality, this is something I...

    Volt Meter

Can anyone recommend a decent inexpensive volt meter. Mainly used for testing 110 & 220 volt lines. I bought a cheap one from Amazon it takes watch style batteries, they don't last more than a week, every time I need it, it's dead. So no watch batteries !!! I'm sure I can find one on Amazon...

How much mileage is too much mileage?

Ok, but what would be your mileage cutoff if the vehicle had decent maintenance records... We all know many things have to be checked before the purchase of any vehicle. As stated in my post never purchased a vehicle with "higher" mileage, so that is what my focus is on.

How much mileage is too much mileage?

Hypothetical question. If looking at a vehicle (non motorcycle) what would be your cut off for mileage? For the sake of simplicity let's say: everything else was in working order. no shady business. vehicle was clean and had a proper safety done. decent maintenance records While we all know...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Sadly little can be done against these fools, do the best you can or build thick and high walls.... I live on a highly graveled dirt road and almost everyday some one is bombing down it at 100km's One flick of the wheel and the car is in the ditch, and I'd let them burn...
