Anyone do the laser eye thing?

"Lasik MD in Mississauga. I went for full range and the surgeon changed it to extended range based on my high myopia and shape of my cornea. She said full range wouldn't give me the desired results anyway. Quote for both was the same price" "Too early. Feel a lot of eye pressure, but my...

    Tire pressure gauges

Someone just asked the same question on GJ: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/digital-tire-pressure-gauge-that-doesnt-s-k.523866/#post-10839360 One of the responses included a video from ProjectFarm:

Anyone do the laser eye thing?

My sister-in-law just had both lenses replaced last week for $8000. Essentially the same surgery as treating cataracts, as has been mentioned, and the only real way to properly fix presbyopia "permanently" if you opt for multifocal lenses.

The stock battery is rated at 350 CCA, but that's cold cranking amps. Presumably you're not racing in freezing conditions, so you could probably get away with a little less CCA if you're only starting it in warm temps. Lithiums (LiFePO4) are perfect for that because they have high warm temp...

Then probably dry. My 998 is dry while my 990 is Loctited.

    Check your nuts!

You should also check whether the torque spec is dry or greased, as greased results in much more transmitted torque than the setting on your wrench. Also make sure the threads of the nut and shaft are clean and rust-free.

    Check your nuts!

Not just that, but you never know what torque you're getting from an impact gun. Too loose is obviously bad, but too tight can also be. There's an SXV owner on ApriliaForum whose flywheel kept going out of time. He swore up and down that he torqued it properly to spec, until the 3rd time he...

Epic Ducati 999 Flyby in 4K

Probably because they're both the same motor. Both Testastrettas, just 937 vs 998 CC.

Looking for meet up recommendation spots

I don't remember having to do that, but I joined a few years ago. I only really made it out to one event, which was a pretty good turnout. But I'm sure glad I decided to wash my 998 before going, because everyone else's bikes were pristine.

    Fuel tank fabrication recommendations?

The person who made the one pictured also owns an 701SM and originally tried to use that tank but couldn’t get it to clear the shock.

LOL. Earl Shaw sure is a hypocrite. You can clearly see 3 bikes down in the video. Only question is if the guy who started it all came down from a wheelie or not.

    Fuel tank fabrication recommendations?

It eventually needs to be a custom under-seat design to replace and double as the rear subframe with clearance for the shock, but I looked on Amazon and didn't realize how cheap standard cylindrical tanks are, so I might just grab one of those for now and use it while I mock up the new bodywork...

    Wheel bearings

I liked that setup so much, I recently bought this one when it was on sale - basically an industrial version with greater range. I like how I only need enough space to store a single handle and the multiple bits (out of the case, of course). https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0761VFVWY
