    when does the salt start?

Did anyone's Google Weather briefly indicate snowfall on the 31st night through the next day morning? I avoid leaning even slightly over these paints when it's moist outside. My gut just doesn't feel right over these wet & shiny patches on the road. I'll debug my experience over the next week...

    when does the salt start?

Does the bike feel heavier/difficult to move in those instances? I felt a little difficulty when I was taking my bike out this Monday and a few initial seconds of riding it felt like the bike was being lazy. I chalked it up to tires being cold and did a couple of rounds in the crescent before...

    when does the salt start?

How does one know till what temperatures the tires are good without going into too much technical terms? Just curious.

    Noob mechanical question

I have the same thoughts. Update: the mitten style covers didn't work. They were covering over control. Also sent back the metal covers. I took the group advice. I'm going with some custom made fittings and stick it to the fairings directly. Will just pics soon. 🙂

    when does the salt start?

Don't scare people 🥲 I could still drive. But yes, riding in 1°C was fun. Big thanks to the big ass windscreen I have.

    Noob mechanical question

Tried them... For some weird reason the screw is loose. I'm suspecting the previous owner tinkered with the handle bar edges.

    I'll try them out.

    Noob mechanical question

It is not. I was thinking of getting a longer screw/bolt and throw in some rubber washers at 2/3 places to add some cushioning and firmness.

    Noob mechanical question

So, I have been trying to find some handguards for the Tmax to prevent the cold wind from hitting my palms. I've tried a bunch of things but the only thing that's close to compatibility was this one made for Harleys https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B089F7R3RD I looked at all possible placement options...

Looking for an expert to critique my riding & leaning skills

Update: I did some tryouts today (no donuts) and found out I have a problem with 2 specific maneuvers: 1. Parking lots where you enter nose-in do a turn and stop at an angle in the next space (illustration below). In this case, I noticed I'm still leaning when I stop and that's off-putting my...

Riding on the HOV vs normal lanes.

From what I've heard, the Canadian govt's Tech projects are generally tied with delays, scams and scandals. But yeah, if done right, then it's great. Camera at entry/exit point to catch and tally all entries with exits should do the trick.

Looking for an expert to critique my riding & leaning skills

I probably have some psychological thing behind this for my current bike. I think it was day 8 of ownership. I was at Ninth Line and Terragar Blvd waiting to turn left. A car came beside me and the dog suddenly barked from inside. This caught me unaware that I lost my balance and fell and my...

Looking for an expert to critique my riding & leaning skills

Yes, this is definitely a thing for me. Hey, I can do that :D Excellent suggestions here, esp. loading more weight on the feet. I will be buying some cones today and try these over the next few days through the weekend and makes some observation/notes for myself. Hopefully, I can video-record...

Looking for an expert to critique my riding & leaning skills

I was in Kingston over the weekend and had an embarrassing/testing time where I had to park & turn at slow speeds that typically require riding the friction zone. I'm, admittedly, not great at that skill plus my Yamaha Tmax is a CVT transmission bike. And the bike being 250kgs I get nervous...

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

Oh boy, I wish the garage at my rental place was spacious enough to fit a second bike. I'd get a Honda Grom/Navi for the wintery days.

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

First season rider noob question.. when do you stop riding for the season? I'm not worried about the cold air as much but I'm curious to know when do you consider the road conditions titling towards"risky" "you're pushing your luck" "not safe" segments? I don't plan on getting winter tires (I...
