I salt the roads in York Region. Everything from Steeles Ave. to Lake Simcoe got a generous coating of salt last night. The roads were dry this morning for Tom, but salty as hell.
And unlike Lego, those little metal bits can possibly be repurposed. Here's an underwater camera housing my Dad built in the 1950s, using a pressure cooker. The gear and chain to turn the focus ring are genuine Meccano.
Keep it and have fun. It's paid for. (I think)
But, at the risk of diverting from the thread, here's a wee tip for you. One of my riding buddies died last year. He was a short legged fellow, and left behind two nice bikes that his wife wants to sell. One is a fully decked out Triumph Tiger...
Apparently the Citizen factory sale that I attended in the Fall is a bi-annual event. I'll try to watch for the Spring one, and get to it too, just for fun.
That was exactly what I was thinking. I like sushi, Citizen watches, and I ride a Jap bike, but that's as far as it goes. IMO, they've followed the Swatch example and jumped the shark. Well, OK, they (Japs, not Citizen) make some nice cars too.
I used to work for a renovator, years ago. We had several guys like that that got jobs for us. They are salesmen. That's all. They get the contract, then find people to do the work.
