    Oakville qew and dorval gws.

"life-threatening injuries, which have now been downgraded to life-altering." The term "Life altering" is chilling. Hopefully the injuries will heal enough to allow the rider to enjoy his future. His family will need strength.

    COVID and the housing market

Four years ago the residents were ground hogs. The property was a farm field. Pre-build panic buying to the max followed by the interest rate issue. It would be interesting to see the time line of the transactions overlaid on the economy. I don't laugh too hard at the buyer. We just missed the...

    Rising prices/labour

Industrial rates are again different from retail. I don't know how some small retailers survive on selling candy bars and magazines.

    COVID and the housing market

Who started the global situation depends on your conspiracy theory. However Canada should have been wealthy enough to have a bit more immunity.

    Rising prices/labour

A friend rented a shop in a strip mall for his auto repair business for years but when it was sold the new owner had the right to up the rent, doing so by $100 a month. He moved and a couple of years later it happened again. No LTB help. The first two hours of the day covered the rent.

    COVID and the housing market

I prefer to look at federal income as one collective thing. Taxes, fees, claw-backs are all government income. They may give with one hand but take back with another.

    America's Cup 37

Do they need a prime minister? I know one who might be looking for a job. Lots of experience in blowing through millions.

    Boat Rentals

One sticker is "Will I like the way it handles?" A deep vee hunts at low speed but handles rough water better than a conventional hull. I had a KMV that blew through waves like a champ but rocked and rolled at anchor. Research and experience is needed for the trade-off. PP's sister needs to...

    Boat Rentals

A friend wanted a ride in a Formula off shore and asked Formula about a test ride. They were pleased to do it if he signed a purchase agreement. He was prepared to pay for the ride but there was no way in hell his wife was letting him mortgage the house for a toy. Selling a boat to a novice is...

    COVID and the housing market

If they scrap the R-1 to allow apartments without having sufficient parking the streets get plugged. It's worse in the suburbs where pubic transit is a joke.

    Forks of the Credit Road

That's reasonable for westbound but the eastbound warnings are before you get to Mississauga Road and Belfountain. That is misleading as a larger vehicle could be heading south on Mississauga Road or go through the village and north on Mississauga towards Alton. Tight but doable. There is a...

    Forks of the Credit Road

I went through there once eastbound and saw an awestruck ditz going west at a slow walking pace with a dozen R bikes behind her rev bombing off the limiters. People need to get out of the city more often and see a tree in 3D. The cones mean there's no place to allow a courtesy pass pull over...

Toronto prioritizes snow clearing on bike lanes over sidewalks when there are more pedestrians than cyclists.

    How Did We Get Here

The Harbour Diner in Hamilton used to be a great place. Then they got political. F*** Trudeau signs in the window and a side order of political attitude with your order hasn't gone down as well as the meal. Closed, under new management (Questionable). Money can talk but it can also shut down.

There's a stretch of Bloor from Dixie to Cawthra that has single family homes both sides. Enjoy getting out of your driveways.

Has the city lost it's mind...

Re the dangers: If you've taken any industrial safety course you've probably seen the safety pyramid. 10,000 unsafe acts at the bottom results in 1000 close calls a level up. That results in 100 minor injuries another level up. Repeat and the next level is 10 serious injuries and at the top is...

Has the city lost it's mind...

There are two types of cyclists, whether they are motor or pedal. Type "A" uses their cycle for transportation. Type "B" uses it for recreation. Our roads were built for transportation, not recreation. Hogging lanes for recreational purposes while impeding vehicles trying to deliver goods or...
