    Obesity

Yeah, but there was a part of it that ran through lava fields

    Obesity

i remember when those were only shown on "Wide World of Sports" about 6 weeks after they ran. Crazy distances in that heat, and they didn't know about constant feeding and hydration. They were dropping out like flies and the winners were almost hospitalized after the race.

I also have farmer neighbors who get the good stuff. They did my fields last year and not much survived.

Nice tip. I wonder if that will work on poison ivy? I'll have to give it a try. I also have access to glacial acetic, so I can make whatever strength I need.

    Vote Splitting

Yeah, but PC + BQ is only 163 with 10 flipped seats to the PC. Still need some NDP support. As it stands now, only the Libs can rule with the support of only one other party. I don't know what would happen with the votes if the BQ wasn't there, but I seem to recall Quebec being pretty red...

    Vote Splitting

Probably true, but if JT has issues and the GG asks O'Toole to try, that's his only choice, and my numbers show he'd still need other help, like the BQ.

    Vote Splitting

True. I thought of that, but NDP has been around long enough I was letting them be by themselves. I was just trying to see if there were lots that would have flipped such that CON+NDP could have reached 170 seats and formed a coalition. I don't think it could have happened. Take 6 seats from...

    Vote Splitting

Regarding vote splitting, I did a quick non-scientific analysis of 15 close (less than about 3000 votes separating Lib and (con +PPC). If the difference was greater than that I didn't feel vote splitting had any effect. My analysis shows that vote splitting didn't have any effect in the GTA...

    COVID and the housing market

I hear you on that. Mine couldn't even properly define the terms for me so that I could set it how I wanted it.

    First cars

1970 Datsun 1200. It got incredible gas mileage for a carb'd vehicle. I paid $100 for it, and that was because my buddy's mom had just put $99.90 into work on the tranny and she wanted to get that back. .

    Obesity

I don't disagree. In the olden days when Timmies made all their doughnut locally I loved the crullers. Fritters were the best back then, big chunks of apple and irregular shapes to hold all the sugar and fat. If I ate now like I did then, I'd be 300 pounds.

    Stolen Toyota’s

Not really. Tin can and tin foil or aluminum foil are not trademarks. Using Reynolds Wrap or Alcan foil to signify any aluminum foil would be a proprietary eponym. Thanks for the link by the way, never knew the proper term. L

    Stolen Toyota’s

OK. Here we go again, just for fun. Aluminum cans are hard to find, they would probably need to be special ordered. "Tin" cans are ubiquitous, but are not tin. Maybe they used to be, I don't know if that's why they got that moniker. They are steel, and used to be lined with tin. Now I...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Google says 1500 to 3000 pounds, depending on wetness.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I agree with the above two. The premixed concrete gives you about 0.5 cu ft per bag. You can do the arithmetic to figure out how many bags you need depending on how deep you want. I have a mixer, but it needs work, probably a new motor which I may have kicking around, and a new belt. The...

    Stolen Toyota’s

Yeah, they were fine. I'm a chemist, so that kind of thing really irks me. I wasn't really mad, just pointing it out.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

True. I've never worried about the lead you'd get from that. Probably got more lead squeezing the old sinkers together with my teeth in the day. When I did my house, I soldered all the copper-to-pex stuff with 50/50 then plumbed the whole house with PEX. Lots of old houses were done with...
