Hi Newbee any good app for motorcycle

MyRide by Yamaha is a decent app. If you turn it on before your ride it tracks your route along with distance time and stuff like lean angle. There are navigation apps that look for twisty road but unfortunately roads in and around the GTA are mostly laid out in grids. Unless you head up North...

    Track bike build

I saw that one, it was great! For sure, the rider aids make it easier to make faster lap times for 90% of us.

    Track bike build

I started racing motocross back in 01-02 on a CR125 and that about when I got into WSBK so the RC51 affection was and still is strong. I do laugh now watching YouTube stuff by 44Teeth, they did a budget bike battle on an 06 Gixxer 1K and an R1 and kept going on about how old and antiquated they...

    Track bike build

Whoa whoa whoa,,, “Unloved pig”??? That was the bike of my dreams in high school! I still drool over them on Kijiji from time to time and would love to build one as a track bike. Good luck with the build, looking forward to following along and hopefully see you out at Grand Bend or TMP in 2021.

Nothing better than taking boots off and doing the one legged hop on the side of the road trying not to step in a puddle. If Alpinestars just made the bottom zipper another inch or two longer the pants would be perfect. I had a couple pairs of Sidi boots for dirt but that’s going back over ten...

    Motorcycle Safety Certificate Checklist (Ontario)?

It’s regarding commercial safeties. It specifies a metal valve cap with a seal.

    Motorcycle Safety Certificate Checklist (Ontario)?

A missing valve cap will not pass a safety but now that you are no longer allowed to touch a vehicle to inspect for holes, a frame rail or floor can be rotted through but if the rust is still on and a hole is not visible it’s a pass. I’ll stick with not signing when I feel something is unsafe...

I bought the Alpinestars Hurricane jacket and pants a couple years ago and they have kept me dry through some pretty heavy rains. They pack down small in their compression sacks and aren’t heavy so you don’t overheat and fog up your visor in a summer rain. The only downside is the pants are a...

    Motorcycle Safety Certificate Checklist (Ontario)?

You would be surprised with what technically passes. This is why some techs will pass vehicles easier than others. Most techs add in a little bit of common sense and even though something can pass by the book they will still fail it because in reality is unsafe.

    Motorcycle Safety Certificate Checklist (Ontario)?

It’s a few month old thread but I wanted to update with the proper info for anyone else looking through here. TwistedKestrel is correct that the tech signing the safety needs to be employed at a licensed mvis shop and be registered with that shop to sign. The tech’s license number has to...

Anyone in their late 20's insuring 1000 class bikes these days?

One of my riding buddies had an 01 cbr929 fire blade and I think he was around $270/mo in his late 20s. He bought a zx10r this year and it went up quite a bit. The 929 was a great bike with more power than you’ll use on the street. Worth looking into.

    Trust this weather or nah?

I do as long I pack rain gear and insulated gloves. Gotta get in as much riding as we can this time of year.

    Hello from Waterdown

Hey guys, I came across the forum while looking for info on race leagues here in Southern Ontario. I’ve been riding since 2003 starting on dirt bikes and eventually road bikes currently I ride a CBR650R and am picking up a ZZR250 from a buddy to turn into a track bike and get into a series in a...
