Signed up for June 22nd. Depending on mood and how my body feels, I might stay for the 23rd as well. Who's going?

    Welding services? Hamilton?

Hello, one of the few things I can't do myself is to weld stuff. I also never needed such services, so I'd like to know if it's popular for people to do welding jobs, and how much is the actual welding cost? Perhaps you know some place or somebody around Hamilton that can do that for me?

Harbor Freight - trailer bearing seals?

Picked up one of those trailers the other day. Assembled it in the weekend, opened up the hubs to grease the bearings last night, and thought I'll just pick up a couple of seals from Princess Auto on my way home from work. Hold and behold---I can't find these kinds of seals anywhere! These...

To be, or not to be

I'm not big on Shakespeare as I have trouble with that early modern English... but trying to figure out if something like that would be useful. See my sig and pls vote, thanks.

Suzuki got it all wrong, or I've lost my mind

Take a stock 2003 Suzuki GSX-R1000, crunch in the numbers in the RaceTech spring rate calculator, and it turns out the stock suspension of the bike is set up for this rider: Here's why: Front STOCK spring rate: 0.85 kg/mm Rear STOCK spring rate: 8.6 kg/mm Calculator recommendations for...

Help me diagnose this scary chatter at TMP Turn 2

Fact 1: springs are way too light for my weight, based on zip-tie they get completely bottomed. Fact 2: preload all in. Fact 3: a bit more compression damping in the front, but still bottoming. Here is the 20 second video of Turn 2 at TMP, this chatter made me run off a couple of times...

    Slick tires in damp conditions?

That's bad news. On the other hand, 40% at Close to 1mm is not that much of rain, is it?!

    Slick tires in damp conditions?

I run slicks with warmers, but upcoming trackday might get some rain. Obviously, going on slicks with puddles on the track is suicidal, but how about if it's just damp?

    Suspension moaning

What's clear is clear---190lb with no gear is way too heavy for the two OEM weaklinks in the forks of my bike. While having the forks completely serviced and parts replaced sometime in the summer is definitely in the plans, I want to salvage any opportunity to have a somewhat good time at the...

    Nicked fork seal

Hi, just noticed a nick in one of the fork seals after the trackday yesterday. How serious is it? Would you say I should definitely replace it before I go out again, or it's not that bad? If it matters---it doesn't leak.

    Track prep - my checklist

With the first day of the season coming tomorrow, I opened my list from last year to see the refreshers and make sure I don't forget something. Also added few new things. Anyway, if it would help someone, here it is. If you see something potentially needed but not in the list, please make your...

    Pressures

Last season on street tires (Dunlops Q2), I ran 31 front / 27 rear pressures (on cold tire), and it worked really well for me. This year I'm starting off on Bridgestone racing slicks with Bickle warmers, and I have no idea what pressures to run. I've already read the Bickle thread, let's...

    Need suggestion for self-made screen(s)

Eventually I'll buy a rad guard, but for now I'm wondering if I can come up with some steel mesh or something I can buy from Home Depot. I want to cover the oil-cooler (the bottom hole), and if it's strong enough, even the radiator (top hole). Anyone done this and has a suggestion for me?

Fuel pump assembly O-ring, must replace?

I recently acquired a spare fuel tank, which I decided to paint and use for my track sessions this year. I have to move the fuel pump assembly from my old tank to the new one, manual says I need to replace the O-ring. Usually I do everything by the book, but I wish I would finish this soon...

Lots of firearm stuff, everything must go

I quit the hobby about a year ago. It's time to clear my basement. See the pictures in the link, everything on the pictures must go. I'm much more open on the idea of selling a bigger chunk (or all) to a single buyer (and giving him a killer deal), than to deal with the things one by one...
