That's a decent price for that trailer.

Only consideration (for me when I had one) is that it's literally a one trick pony. Nothing else. That's why I sold my TIAB after a season.

I have two utility trailers of different sizes, and I'm still thinking about buying something like this, but one that can haul 3 dirt bikes. 3 dirt bikes requires my bigger trailer and that thing just kills fuel economy - probably halves it, if I'm lucky.

It's the long ramp that's the problem; even though it's not solid at speed it may as well be. Something little like a Stinger would be so much more economical. It'd probably pay for itself in a season or too just on gas.

And the guys with Stingers at the trail heads - they just ride in and out in a fraction of the time the rest of us do.

Although, I'm not sure I wouldn't be constantly looking over my shoulder checking to see if my bikes are lying the middle of the highway half a kilometre back.

I went the opposite way. I had two and sold the smaller one. Sure it'll use more gas when I haul the larger one but it's one less thing to store (I like to keep mine inside) and one less thing to do maintenance on.

How much does your bigger trailer weigh? The Stinger triple is almost 600 lbs.

I'm in the same situation. Had a small utility trailer that would hold one bike. Sold it years ago. This beast holds 3, all my camp gear, and pulls like a brick... best I've got is 16L/100km, drafting a transport truck (not too close, just using it to cut a hole through the wind). Usually around 20L/100km. Fuel costs split between 4 guys isn't too bad.

Store lots of **** in it when not being used for trips.

Tennessee
Corduroy enduro
Etc.

Mine is a 6x12 aluminum utility trailer. According to the company website it weighs 655lbs. I don't think the weight of the trailer is the problem - it's the way the ramp sticks up so high. At speed I believe it acts as a giant sail. I wouldn't be surprised if similarly sized enclosed trailers are not much less fuel efficient due to superior aerodynamics.

I'd be interested to tie some streamers to it, strap on an Insta 360 to the ramp and see what that looks like.

The ramp can be removed but it's a PITA.

This is the one I have.

Not sure how much drag that would introduce considering how open the ramp is, and that's after the wind has already gone past the 3 bikes. If it had a solid plate floor, then I would agree. You could always test by removing it. Would be better than investing in a Stinger only to find little or no improvement. Another option is to add a wind deflector to the front.
