Call for quotes before buying the bike. One of the big things you'll notice is that insurance prices have changed, not for the better, especially if (by the sounds of it?) you never got your full M and are starting all over again with M1/M2? I unfortunate seeing people buy a bike for which they subsequently discover is unaffordable to insure, or they just can't find insurance at all.
Thanks, I’ve shortlisted the 4 models I like and sent VINs to my insurance broker, so would know how much each one is to insure before my 61 days are up for the M2. Going to GP Bikes and Markham Outdoor this week to check them out.

Contrary to popular conception of some people on this site there are paved roads outside Torana.
Such a waste of a nice bike just to drive it to a Tim's.
After hearing members whine about insurance cost I am feeling guilty about only paying $124.00 a year NOT.
Details please out of curiosity. The cheapest insurance I ever had was still around $600 a year for my old VTX, although I had only the basics at the time - $2m liability, no collision/comprehensive, and just the basic (crappy) accident benefit amounts.

I have had my M licence for 56 years.
I am old with a good record.
Restricted to 3000km a year but this set of wheels is for vintage motorcycle runs that are usually less than 200 kilometres.
2,000,000 coverage no collision.
I pay $103.00 a month for my 2012 Chevy and 2018 Moto Guzzi V7iii combined.
I live outside of Kingston.
I used to pay $100.00 a year In Alberta for second & third bikes.
