Careful if you enjoy a brew while mowing your lawn (on a riding lawnmower)...

When I was doing secure tows for the police. Suicide a tempt Sitting in the running car in the garage drinking. They charge the person with dui. Care and control even though not driving. Officer on seen didn’t want it but Sargent wanted it.

Wow...kick the poor guy while he is already down and on his way out - that's just sad all around.
I suppose over time even police get desensitized and lose compassion for people...then again, maybe having too much compassion for a stranger is what could get the police killed as well..

Not to be to mean but after 10 years of dealing with the idiots even I stopped caring. Same whining when they come for the vehicle. Why did this happen to me. Very simple. You drove to go drinking. You drank to much and drove him but got caught. Best was why is my car smashed up. You crashed it so drunk you don’t remember. When you deal with the same types of idiot losers over and over it makes you cold person. I felt bad for the people they hurt. So many repeat customers to.

Sleeping in a car while drunk was always a potential DUI offence. My buddy got busted for that in the early 2000s and spent thousands going through the court system (and he won), but it was a very painful and expensive experience.

Doesn't seem like a major change over previous iterations.
yeah if the keys are in the ignition or it's on, you`re probably toast. friend also got charged, but keys were actually in the trunk! he walked in court

There was one locally where a guy was sleeping it off in the parking lot of a park and the cops rolled up and told him to move then charged him with impaired.
Lucky for him he had the resources to hire a solid defense so he walked.
