Just a note regarding race track names as some have changed over the years. What's 2nd nature for locals may be confusing to new comers:

Reviving this thread for the original reasons:
First ride of the year, January 3, 2016. About -4C or -5C. BTW, the roads were clear, only this short road had salt on it and the editing makes it look worse than it is.

But yes, I agree with you, brutal article. Just 2 weekends ago, I rode 1/2 hr on a sandy road; I've crossed a little creek; Better handling on a cruiser -- really??? Almost 1000km days on my CBR 1000RR . Very close minded, and I doubt the author has ridden a sportbike at all.
