Suzuki new DR-Z4SM vs Yamaha T7

A DRZ was my first dual sport bike. It was ok in single track, but once I found myself looking to upgrade everything to make it better, I decided to just move onto a proper dirt bike. I think they were great bikes to see what you like better, single track/gravel/pavement. I'm just...

    Noise camera? Really

Ha, my partner and I are the opposite. I used Waze exclusively, but then it literally sent us in a circle while in Cambridge one time. After that incident, my partner always shat on it. So we compromised with Google, even though it's the same data.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Sorry. I typed quick and forgot to add the obvious part where you can finance it, then pay it off the second you can. Hopefully the next day so the stealership gets nothing, but even if it's a few months later it's better.

    Stocks

Wealthsimple has been great for me the past few years. They have a cash account now for daily purchases, and it pays percentage in interest monthly. Unless you truly need to go into a bank for a human, I believe Wealthsimple combined with Simplii (or another free chequing account) is the best...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Paying with cash is definitely better? People think that's crazy to do, but then have no issue paying all that interest. Buy a cheap car and CAA for 5 years while saving a car payment every month in an interest making investment. After 5 years, go buy a new car with all that cash you now have.

    Coyotes

There's a huge difference between killing something humanely, and just causing pain and torment for entertainment.

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

I really wish more people would understand this. What chance does a kid born to drug addicts have. Even if the kid is born without physical/mental issues, that kid inevitably falls into gang life and gets sent to a facility. Then when they get out, the cycle just repeats back, because it's...

Are you a "Save every penny for retirement" or "Live life now" type person?

I lived my first 40 years as a "live life now" person, and that's why I had nothing. My ex and I would buy stupid crap all the time and never think about the debt. About three times during the 20 year relationship, we consolidated with the mortgage to get back to zero, and that's why we owed a...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

I have someone close that has been in the front line of youth corrections for the last 15 years. They work closely with kids that need mental health support. I cringe when everyone just says to lock criminals up and throw away the key. People really don't understand the conditions that lead...

    Power distribution blocks

I bought this battery in 2018, so there's no link for it. But the title of it was (aceyoon 50000mAh USB Type-C Power Bank Laptop PD Charger and USB QC 3.0 Battery Voltage Adjustable 9V - 24V Type C PowerBank Compatible for iPhone, HP, Dell, Asus, MacBook, Samsung, Google Devices). As for the...

    Power distribution blocks

Interesting about the CPAP. The battery I use is able to change from 5 to 24v, but it charges with 12v (according to the print on the plug transformer). I've also had an inverter fail on me while I was camping, so I know how much that sucks. That's why I figured out how to use the laptop...

    Power distribution blocks

I'm curious what CPAP battery and heated vest batteries your using that require 120v? For my CPAP I use a laptop battery bank and was able to find a cable online that charges it from 12v. It's a cable that has SAE and the right bullet connector. I have a Fired Up X heated vest that both...

    Bluetooth, where to start!

I don't want to read all the replies, just give my experience. I bought set of Cardo Freecom 4x for my partner and I a few months ago. I would say that they work perfect 95% of the time. They will randomly drop connection with each rider maybe once on a four hour ride, but it is just a quick...

    Tipping

I can't imagine having a sit down meal in a restaurant for $15, but yes. A server brought me that $15 meal, the same as a server bringing me a $95 meal. Say the server is making $17 an hour and covers four tables an hour. Now they are making $37 an hour if everyone tipped like me. I know...

    Tipping

I basically stopped tipping a few years ago when they stopped the different pay scale for servers. I would rather everyone make a living wage, but at this point, the kitchen and servers are making the same, or close. I never tip percentages, because that just doesn't make sense to me. Just...
